Should Spider-Man 3 be the last in the series?

Do you want S-M3 to be the last?

  • Yes, 3 is enough.

  • No! I want to see Spider-Man 30!

  • I don't know. Depends on the box office earnings of S-M3.

i always wanted venom to be the last villian when spidey films were at the top of their game. so yes, i like when things go out on top and not be draged down, but sadly we know what will happen

Will there be another spider-man? Im sure of it
Do I want there to be more? Maybe another 2, they have got to use other villains such as lizard vulture and kraven and possibly electro/shocker

None of these have any bearing on the other. If Wolverine jumps off a cliff to his death, does that mean Spider-Man has to as well?

And they're not killing the X franchise off after 3 films. Why some people (not you) can't get it through their head that it's just a publicity stunt at the very best. The X-Men films will continue after part 3. It's Foxes #1 money making franchise of ALL TIME. For Star Wars Fox only got paid a flat fee and shared NONE of the profits and George Lucas had control. Fox wanted to make more Star Wars films but had no rights. They own the film rights as of now for X-Men so they won't give them back to Marvel because a few fans only want 3. LOL

Aren't they doing 3 & 4 back to back? I say keep the coming! If you can have 20+ Bond movies, then why not lots of Spidey? Once Venom [yawn] is out of the way, lets get some real villains like the Lizard, Kraven, Electro, etc.

gwen stacy's in this. that means this is the origin movie and the last two were nothing but a bad dream.

They're not doing 3 & 4 back to back. Otherwise Marvel would be receiving a massive upfront chunk of money from Hasbro & Sony and it would be reported in earnings. It would be neccessary disclosure. Oh and Avi already said they're not doing that.

I thought Sony wanted at least six Spiderman films?

Maybe I'm dreaming but I'm sure I saw a newspaper clipping saying this when Sam Raimi was at Spiderman 2 release.

No pick against Venom but the sooner we see him the better then as someone else said move onto other classic baddies  like Lizard, Mysterio and Scorpion.

If there is to be six then these three need to be included maybe even Chameleon. Love to see Chameleon sometime.

It's stupid to put a number on how many sequels they make. Maybe after part 3 they'll make a few sequels and then maybe do some stories that take place before some of these films...or further into the future. There are literally a hundred stories to tell and more are being written. So nobody should bother putting a number on the film. Look at Batman. New cast, new director, we're gonna see a different incarnation of the Joker and nobody is complaining. Pretty much everyone loves the new Batman. We love this Spiderman, and this X-Men representation but who's to say the next group of films won't be twice as good.

No they should make more, Venom should be beat at the end of this and Harry die. Peter would lose his best friend, and in 4 have Venom come back and Carnage get born. Spiderman would have to find a way to team up with Venom to beat him. It would be very cool if the next 2 movies went like that. And then I don't know what they would do after that

I think they should make at least a couple of more, maybe up until Spiderman 5. I am a huge Lizard fan, and Id love to see Spidey square off against Connors. A couple of more villains I'd love to see them put up on the big screen are Scorpion and Mysterio.

I want for 3,4,5,6

Venom
Harry Goblin
Lizard
Scoprion
Mysterio
Kraven

So many villans..so many story lines..they just have to get it all out there and make them M15+..

Will they make more? Of course. As long as there's money to be made, Sony will make them.

Should they be made? So long as the integrity of the franchise is maintained or improved upon. If they don't have the story and the talent to keep growing the franchise, then give it a rest.

Problem is, the "will they" question is top priority, regardless of the answer of the "should they". Let's hope that those controlling the films after getting the green light have both the passion for Spiderman and the talent to continue bringing these movies to light in an entertaining and successful way.

I didn't get any replies so I post again... does anyone except me think that six movies is just pushing the envelope... as Spidey junkies ofcoarse we want to see villains like carnage, chameleon, Lizard, Mysterio, etc... but will those characters appeal to general audiences? We know it's highly unlikely both Raimi and Tobey and Kirsten will be back for more (I'd be suprised if two of them stayed), and that's when things start to go sour quickly... I am not stupid enough to believe that actors and directors can not be replaced... but there is the risk of a serious drop off... I think four movies tops is enough WITH THE CORE CAST... if they want to make six total... I just hope they will take atleast a five/six year layoff... find the right people and the right cast... and begin another trilogy like they might do with X-men... what do ya'll think???

Finish this trilogy. Kill Harry, Kill Venom, kill Sandman, show symbiote slip off as a showing Carnage can show up. Recast for 4-6 and continue the story with Lizard

One movie for every hero, villain, side character in spidey's life. (I smell Spider-Man 89!)

sam raimi said in a interview that if he direct spidey 3 and has always the same energy and exciting on doing the movie he will be back for number 4 but only if tobey come back or something like that!

Guys just when you think they're out of ideas it'll be time to recast and restart the franchise again. Batman did it, Superman did it, Bond did it, Jack Ryan films did it, and other franchises will do it. Again don't bother putting a number on the number of films YOU want to see because it not about how many sequels in numeric form. The Earth won't explode when you're tired of X-Men or Spider-Man. A fresh new generation will get to see a different actor play Spiderman before ever seeing Tobey's version. This is only the first few years of real comics to film adaptatios. This is the new golden age of comic book films and when you look at what they'll be showing us in 20 years you'll be laughing at attempting to put #'s on how many films of a franchise their should be. Now I would understand how many should Tobey do or Raimi but not the franchise. Spiderman is forever and is bigger than any actor or director. Sam Raimi will come and go, James Cameron will come and go, Tobey and Hugh Jackman will come and go. They'll be always remembered but others will fill in just fine.
