Should the real SGT. SLAUGHTER be in the G.I. JOE movie? (I was going to say WILLIAM "THE FRIDGE" PERRY as well, but wasn't he only a mail-away figure and not in the cartoon?)

Acting-wise, Sgt. Slaughter can certainly handle the role that R. Lee Ermey always gets typecast for.

Sgt. Slaughter is far too old(60) to play 'Sgt. Slaughter' in the movie. I do however think it would work to cast another wrestler as the Sarge and if his mercenaries are used, cast westlers for them too.

Taurus - Bill Goldberg

Red Dog - The Rock

Mercer - John Cena

Why wrestlers you might ask? Because they add a whole new dimension and bring in all the WWE fans.

I'm not sure what wrestler could play 'The Sarge.'

You sound awfully jealous, completely trashing all my ideas and suggestions.

Maybe because they all suck, and are examples of straying from the core Joe mythos. If you think I'm jealous of your Slaughter's Marauders Vs. Cobra-La idea, you sir a certifiable nutjob.

How am I straying from G.I. Joe? You're WRONG, my idea is not to have the Marauderd & Slauhter vs. Cobrala. It is merely to incorporate them in the series, pending on the length of it.

the sarge could have a cameo or "camo" in this case

Some things are best left forgotten. They were failures and are derided by fans for a reason. If you were half a fan, you'd know that.

Why? Play to the franchise's strengths for the movies, not its weaknesses. Those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it.

Ah yes, but placing a weak point in the film, if only briefly, will make the good parts appear all that much better.

As far as learning from history, uh...man has been around for how long? 4000-5000 years? We're still dying so obviously no one cares about that cute little saying.

Ever the optimist, aren't you?

That is some seriously flawed logic.

I have absolutely no interest in seeing Sgt. Slaughter in a G.I. Joe film.

To be honest, I'd like to see a film with the original G.I. Joe 12" action figure. The one with the beard. That's old school. He could help out the other newer ones.

Because professional wrestlers are great actors, right? I mean, Suburban Commando is the kind of cinematic masterpiece Ingmar Bergman could only dream of making.

I don't like your attitude, maggot! And to be quite honest with you, I think Ingrid Bergman would ne seriously impressed with Suburban Commando, The Nanny, The Scorpion King, Be Cool, Gridiron Gang, No Holds Barred, They Live, The Rundown, Walking Tall, Universal Soldier: The Return, See No Evil Hear No Evil, The Departed, AND The Marine.

Slaughter shouldn't be in the movie at all. Neither should any other wrestlers, for that matter.

Then go ahead and make the movie like every other comic book/superhero
movie in the past 15 years. :whatever:

So I'll make it like Batman Begins, X2, V for Vendetta, 300 and Spider-Man 2? Okay, then it'll be a good movie.

You are being sarcastic and/or drunk, right?

No, that would still be a bad movie.

You're fooling yourself. Not only can wrestlers not act (except for the late, great Andre the Giant), but the characters you picked just suck. Taurus, Red Dog, Mercer? Who gives a s**t about them? Where's Snake Eyes? Duke? Scarlett? Cobra Commander? Destro?
