Corn oil is propaganda produced by the farmers of the world. We don't have the landspace for all of that corn to be grown. We would need a plot of land the size of Brazil to fuel the world, and what happens if there is some kind of plague or insect overload that ruins most of the crops?
Biodiesal is typically refined from soybeans. If it is refined from both soybeans and corn, the already highly unlikely threat of plague or insect overload would be eliminated as there are two sources for the fuel. And they are both highly renewable and regrow quickly. Plus I can't recall any type of corn shortage in recent times. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Clearly, something has to be changed. It is quite evident that the use of fossil fuels for energy must cease and be replaced by something more environmentally safe, before we either run out of it, or we choke our atmosphere.
