Should they cast Brandon Routh as Captain Marvel?

You don't understand what I said. They would buy the rights to Superman (that DC doesn't own). Then they would publish their own version of the character (to maintain the rghts). That way, it would muck up any DC/WB attempts at restarting Superman. This is just like DC's Captain Marvel not being able to be featured in a comic of the same name.

That means that the family would have to create a whole new cast of characters. Image that: Starting all over again despite having 70 + of history.

And because of this legal redtape, the archives would have legal issues too, with Superman being in almost major event in DC since the early days, along with the presense of other DC owned characters.

That means that the Superman legacy would be wiped out if the Family and DC don't reach an agreement!

I'd say no, just because I actually liked his Superman and live in the hope [however remote] that he may get to reprise the role one day.

Someone made the suggestion of Armie Hammer as Captain Marvel the other day on another thread. Personally, I think that is one excellent suggestion. Hammer's a good actor, great face and voice, 6'5'' or so.

Could do worse.

Armie Hammer as Captain Marvel ? Don't think so, Hammer would be a better casting choice for Hal Jordan or Captain Atom.
