Routh and Bale are not going anywhere

Recasting isn't a bad idea in the least. It's actually quite a fantastic idea.

Firstly, it separates the JLA movie from the Superman and Batman movies. If it does end up being bad or too fantasy based or whatever, it won't be tied to any of the other films. It won't lessen them or ruin what they've set down like, say, B&R did to Burton's Batman movies. Instead, JLA can exist in it's own little bubble.

Also - while I'm really digging - is it gives someone else a chance to really excel with the characters. Sure, Bale and Routh were great, but I'm honestly really excited just to see what two other actors will be able to do with the roles. Who'll be Batman? Who'll be Superman? Will they be more Keaton than Bale? Or Kilmer than Clooney? That unknown and that chance at having something really great and different happen is a great thing.

I would agree with everything you said if the current Superman and Batman series were over but doing this right in the middle?

Makes me wonder if WB is trying to sabotage Nolan's and Singer's series and if not then thats what they are inadvertly doing.

Man! No bale? no Routh? I hope you re making this up cause thats the worse decision ever. Routh did one movie bale did on movie and they are already changing the cast? Could those idiots understand that if people like the new batman and the new superman in JLA it could f*** up the solo batman and possible the solo superman?

How's that? Can you give an example of when that has ever happened?

Im guessing WB is placing more effert into the solo franchises, its all about money. Not giving the fans what they want, thats why Bale and Routh are staying in their solo roles. The JLA movie won't feel authentic now..

Long time, no see btw

When was the last time two actors played the same character at the same time in MOVIES? Don't give me the Connery movie where he came back as Bond because that was two different studios... the movie was a remake... and Connery had already been associated with the role... when has that ever happened? Never... because it is as ridiculous as it looks... and the fans will not only be confused... but fed up that they are messsing up with these beloved characters yet again... I don't mean JLA fans per say... but the Nolan camp will be pissed... and the majority of Bat fans have rejuvinated interest simply because of Bale/Nolan's film/upcoming film. You want to make an argument for replacing Routh then fine... but most people thought he was solid as well... its a terrible move that will backfire for sure. It's never happened before because it has never been done before... so why start now?

i think bales point is teaming for justice league would not only cause a continuity problem but hed also be forced to compromise what he and nolan have established by him working under a different director. jla batman would be a different look and interpretation

I'm all for having Bale portray Batman in JLA (after all, he's the definitive live action batman, in my opinion), but absolutely NOT until Nolan's series is over. The progression of the character would be completely ruined.
