Bad idea from beginning to end. Part of the whole excitement when I was a child was the possibility of seeing not only characters I was familiar with on screen together, but the actors' chemistry! And although I've grown up to accept many many disappointing results, I would still feel the same now.
People want to see the same actors. There's a feeling a continuity to the whole thing that I swear could make the difference in $100 million.![]()
Whatever the source on this, it sounds like another line of hollywood exec cluelessness. It's likely a "testing the waters" type of announcement....to see if they could get away with it.![]()
Ditto.Everyone's so opposed to this, but I doubt anyone beyond the fanboy circle honestly gives a damn. I don't think Bale has imprinted his image of Batman on anyone as severely as the fans.
And I'm actually kind for glad for both of them. It's a wise career move. I'm not against this at all.
Why would they want their entire careers defined by and remebered for one character?
Didn't work out too badly for Ben Kingsley (Ghandi), Leslie Nielsen (Dr. Runack in Airplane, everything else since then has been a revisitation) Marlon Brando (Don Corleone, almost everything he did after The Godfather was a revisitation), or for that matter, Christopher Reeve.
So according to this they are just using a different Superman and Batman for team-up movies only while Routh and Bale will still play Superman and Batman in solo movies.
So since the film is CG does that mean they wont be "IN" the movie, but their voices will be?
Is it still possible for them to be playing Superman and Batman's voices?
I was speaking to a pal at Warner Bros this morning who let slip that the "Justice League" movie is just as full-steam ahead as the rumours suggest it is. It will definitely be up next year.
I just saw that vid of Bale and Crowe, and Bale sounded like a pompous ass, he sounds like his movie's the only good thing, like they've only done something good and the JL would be stupid.
I'm sure the JLA movie will be more entertaining than Nolan's dull crap. Like he's too good for it, whatever.
I'm sure the JLA will be more faithful than Nolan's bat films.
The faithful stuff is always better.
It's sounding like the DC equivalent of Fantastic Four or Spider-Man 3.
Both of your analogies fail. Good day, sir.
This is the worst move ever with comic films.
