well, I dont know if they mean he's involved in the finale in a Venom/sandman way but there can be two things going on at once. I mean there could be the finale "proper" where Bats and Mr.J have their major final confrontation, and thats the prime focus, meanwhile amongst the chaos Two Face is delivering his own brand of vigilante justice to the crooked cops and the mob and, unable to contact Batman, Gordon goes after him alone. Ideally I would have Batman and the Joker having a really brutal fight...I mean Spiderman one brutal where Bats' armour is peeled away so the Jokers blows count and there is genuine peril there-knife woulds, viscous blows to the face etc. In the mean time Two Face has cornered Maroni ala TLH and killed all his underlings...Gordon arrives and the two have it out (Oldmans big scene with two-face he mentioned in an interview). The Bats and Mr.J fight comes to a close with either Joker carted off to Arkham or having a moment where it looks like he's dead...but its left competely open. You know, like they did all the time in the animated series where he falls into a river or is left in a burning building or something. Bats then cleans up and tries to find Gordon. But by this time Face has flipped his coin and....well, tough for Maroni if you know what I mean. He's then slipped Gordon and escaped, the vision of Gothams white knight truly destroyed. The end scene then have Batman reinstated a a hero for saving gotham from the Joker but the city shaken after word of what has happened Dent. Bats and Gordon meet and Batman vows to bring Harvey back, for better or for worse. For, not to sound too cheesy, without the hope for a hero with a face like Harvey Dent, the city now depends completely on its Dark Knight! The we have another agonising wait for part three!
