Shrunk | Reboot/Legacyquel of Honey, I Shrunk The Kids

Jessica Chastain for Amy!

Hopefully they’ll pay tribute to Marcia Strassman.

And would it be too much to hope Matt Frewer returns in some way.

Dang, I had no idea she had passed away. I wonder if this had anything to do with Rick Moranis returning.

Sounds like it’s more of a supporting role than lead. Not really a fan of Josh Gad so we’ll see.

If only they could get in him Ghostbusters also.

I think he just wants a more substantial role than a cameo according to why he turned down the 2016 version.

A quote from his 2015 interview might explain his absence, as he also turned down appearing in 2016’s female-driven Ghostbusters reboot, which included his former costars Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Sigourney Weaver. All three return for Afterlife, as does Ernie Hudson.

“I wish them well,” he told the publication of the 2016 movie. “I hope it’s terrific. But it just makes no sense to me. Why would I do just one day of shooting on something I did 30 years ago?”

He's finally back but if this is a reboot, is he just going to cameo as another character or the same character while the story focuses on new characters?

It's a continuation Josh gad is playing his son with the glasses.

Moranis said he doesn’t do cameos, so it must be a supporting role alongside Gad.

Josh Gad is playing Nicholas? Let himself go over the years since third film huh?

Was he even in the third movie? Probably best to just ignore that DTV junk.

Not the original actor from the first two but yeah Nick is one of the main kids

He was the smart one.

Anyone see his ideas for where Louis Tully is afterall these years? Pretty hilarious.

I guess the new 2020 Ghostbusters would have also been a cameo

So glad that Rick is returning. Now we just need Spaceballs: The Rise of Schwartzwanker to happen.

It's such a bad idea to make this a theatrical release.

I don't think Gad is playing Nick Szalinski. I think he'll probably play the youngest son, Adam (the kid that got "blew up" in Honey, I Blew Up the Kid.

I feel like he'd be about the right age for Nick though. He could play anywhere from 30s to early 40s.

I hope Rick Moranis does more movies after this, I want to see him in a Wes Anderson movie.

I'm glad this is happening. The original film was a staple in my house growing up and it warms my heart to see Rick Moranis, come back.

I feel like a theatrical release is probably better business wise. We grew up with this ****.
