Can't wait for the trailer. Did anyone see the 5 page article in this month's Total Film (Transformers cover) that was a diary of Argentine film-maker Celina Murga's set experience on Shutter Island? She shadowed Scorsese during the filming of the entire movie. If anyone wants it, I can scan it tonight.

I unregularly pick up Total Film, but I missed this month's issue. I'd appreciate it if you'd scan it (only the article not the whole issue :D ).

Good trailer. This is Scorsese stepping out of his boundary quite a bit, so I'm definitely looking out for it.

ive discussed it several times here on the hype...
its safer to just leave it at 'i just do'

In the trialer the patient that went "Shhh" really freaked me out.

Martin Scorsese has been the most consistent film maker over the years cant see how anyone can hate him LOL

this is the guy who gave us

Taxi Driver
Raging Bull
Cape Fear
Goodfellas
Casino
Gangs of NY
The Aviator
The Departed

all great films

This just jumped to my most anticipated of the year too. It's out of the norm for Scorsese, which is refreshing considering my favorite films of his tend to be his 'out of norm' films than his comfort zone-gangster films.

Not to say his crime films (Goodfellas, Casino, Mean Streets, The Departed) aren't excellent, I just love seeing him do something like Raging Bull, or Bringing Out the Dead, or The Last Temptation of Christ.

Freakin great trailer.

Oh wow.

Looks creepy as hell. It's nice to see something new from Marty.

about the Scorese comment:

Everyone has an opinon, I know but I am reminded again and again that not everyone has good tastes in movies.

Oh wow! I loved the book and this looks like a visually stunning adaption, all the atmosphere is present and I can literally see the scenes recreated from my mind, it looks even better though, the story is brilliant already and Scorsese has married that with wonderful visual flair, nothing in the last couple of months has grabbed my attention and movie loving enthusiasm like this trailer.

This looks fantastic. Cannot wait.

This looks fantastic.....looks to have an incredible cast. Loving the atmosphere, gave me the creeps lol. Scorcese and DiCaprio look to have another great film on there hands.

After i saw the Departed I went and saw all of his films, I won't miss this

Did you ever see After Hours, thats a very overlooked movie by Scorsese.

This movie looks incredible let me say that straight off the bat. The trailer is purposefully misleading it didn't reveal anything.

Marty has been a consistent director in delivering and I've enjoyed a good majority of his films, "The Departed" was just fantastic. This trailer shows that the film adaptation has hit on every mark when it comes to Denis Lehane vision of what "Shutter Island" would have looked like.

The fact that its being released in October of this year makes me completely ecstatic that there are still good films to see that are of this caliber. I'll just have to wait patiently until the release date being content that "Shuter Island" looks spectacular for me as of now.

This looks absolutely exquisite, refreshing and creepy. I can't ****ing wait. I love it when Old masters do new things, a psychological horror film by Scorsese?

YES!
