Siege

I don't think they count things like The Initiative or Dark Reign as events. They're long-term status quo shifts that come from events and affect virtually every title until another event changes the status quo again.

But I would also take the "no more company-wide events" thing with a grain of salt.

Bendis had an interview in the new Wizard mag about Siege. He said it is mainly a trinity focused book with small moments from Maria Hill, Balder, and The Secret Warriors. He also said that (as we all have figured) The Dark Avengers are not walking away from this one, specifically saying there will be deaths on the team.

My guess (or hopes) are for The Sentry and Gargan-Venom to bite the big one.

He also said that all of the editors have agreed that this is the last major universe spanning crossover. From here on out events will be self contained like World War Hulk.
Aw, I hope Daken doesn't die. :( I kinda like the Sentry too, even if he does have trouble not blowing up every other issue. :p

Everyone on the Dark Avengers other than Ares could die and I wouldn't mind.

I'm not sure Ares could die anyhow. He's a god. :p

Uh, don't tell Odin or Zeus :awesome:
Zeus just came back because Hercules went down to Hades and got him. Thor could probably find some way of bringing Odin back if he really wanted to as well, but Odin told him not to because Odin's time is past or something like that.

Gods are notoriously hard to really, truly, 100% kill. But, then again, so are all the superheroes.

I'm always worried that Odin will come back in the comics. I like Thor as his own man and Asgard being subject to political strife. When Odin was around, the only politics were when he was being a dick and Thor disobeyed him for it, which inevitably resulted in a banishment until Odin was like, "Awww, I wuv you too much, son-o'-mine! Come on back." Odin's cool and all, but Thor's only improved in his absence.

I agree.

But you know he's going to come back. If Norman Osborn couldn't stay dead, Odin's coming back.

Well, Odin's been dead for about 6 or 7 years now. That's a pretty long record for comics. And it doesn't seem like there's much desire to bring him back outside of our own Franklin Richards, who's weird anyway.

Yeah... But Thor himself wasn't active for all that time so its less I believe if you take that into account.

And in any case - the writers will reverse it. They reverse everything. Somebody will get an idea to shock the audience with Odin returning and it is inevitable. Almost every major character ever has returned from their deaths, why would Odin be any different?

Especially since his being locked up involves Surtur being locked up.

And it doesn't seem like there's much desire to bring him back outside of our own Franklin Richards, who's weird anyway.

When Hypesters want to tell scary each other they tell Franklin Richard stories.

Odin was dead for about 3 years before Thor's comic ended and everyone else died, actually. But whatever, if they do bring him back, hopefully it'll only be a temporary resurrection.

Kill all the Dark Avengers except for Bullseye, and I'll be happy

Especially Daken! **** that waste of ink

*sniff* But I think he makes a wonderfull jerk. I love watching him stir up trouble. :p

Whoever lives or dies, it seems like the Dark Avengers as a team, at least, have to go away after Cap, Thor, and Iron Man pull the real Avengers back together. I wonder if we'll get another comic that follows those characters or if they'll be dispersed or go back to being the Thunderbolts or what...

Usually I agree with ya squeeks, But on this one I have to respectfully disagree...lol

Daken is that type of dude who was the dick kid in high school we(geeks) all hated.

Plus he has no motivation, he just thinks it's 'cool' to be 'evil'...
well, other than his daddy issues :o

I know it'll never happen, but I want Ares back on the real Avengers team, all heroic and such like he was back in MA.

Bullseye and Venom need to go back to their repspective titles.

I'm indifferent about Noh-Var and Moonstone.

The Sentry and Daken, however, I would love to see take a FINAL dirtnap. I'd personally send Bendis a check for real cash if he'd do it. Granted, I'm a college student so I can't afford much. But if BMB would let these two creative wastes die, I'm sure I could send twenty bucks his way. It may not seem worth his trouble but hey, he enjoys screwing up the favorite characters of many, many fans. At least this way he could buy himself a decent dinner in the process...

I can't imagine why anyone would want Ares to be heroic. He's so much more fun as a morally ambiguous bastard who'll kill pretty much anyone if you pay him a boatload.

Just Kill everyone except Noh-Varr and Ares.

Another teaser for the event

Ah, the ol' armor-in-a-suitcase. I kind of am not a fan of it, actually. But whatever. New armor for Tony, perhaps? I hope it's not just the IM2 movie armor, if it is indeed a new suit.
