I dont get it. What does this have to do with Asgard? It's short for Siege of Asgard, a big check mark for Osborn to knock off his list.
Probably to avoid confusion of people thining this is strictly a Thor story which is what I got when I just read this post.I don't know why they didn't call it Siege of Asgard. Probably thought the name would scare off those who like their grim-n'-gritty stuff.

Most spinoffs and minis from these big events are a waste of time and the main action is usually self contained within the main event. For myself, as someone who doesnt like Thor and if I wasnt posting on a board like this, Id might have been inclined to pass on it if it was being promoted as Siege of Asgard bc of what hte name impliesAll the non-Thor characters featured on covers and all the inevitable crossovers/spin-off minis would probably clear that up pretty quick.
True. I wonder if he and Death are doin' it in Hell.![]()
Norman will be laying siege to... wait for it... keep waiting for it... keep waiting 'cause you know it's gonna be good...I dont get it. What does this have to do with Asgard?
No, she has returned but is mentally unstable. Loki has already given up the disguise. Anyway, what greater weapon could there be than a mutant who can alter reality?

Are you just talking about big-name villains? 'Cause so-called heroes have been killing various villains for years now.I just saw the trailer. It's amusing they'd draw Osborn puncing Thor. But I don't think we'd ever see superheroes drawing blood when they punch the villains in the face. Maybe someday they're going to finally have the balls to draw them bashing in some skulls.
Personally, I think having Osborn's "secret weapon" turn out to be Mephisto would not only make sense in light of One More Day (being that Osborn IS Spider-Man's arch-enemy) but you could easily tie him into everything else that's happened in the Marvel Universe over the past several years.
For instance, what caused the Scarlet Witch to go insane in the first place? The loss of her children, who were actually constructs created from essence of Mephisto, and apparently, she's been systemically loosing her sanity ever since right up to Avengers Disassembled, which of course led to House of M and Decimation, which probably altered reality enough for Mephisto to worm his way in.
And remember Civil War and how there was a theory going around that Miriam Sharpe was actually Mephisto in disguise, due to her dead child being called "Damien?" Well, what if that were actually the case, and Mephisto was the one who was manipulating Tony Stark which of course lead to the fraction in the superhero community?
It would also explain how someone like Osborn would benefit from the situation. Perhaps Mephisto offered to make him the most powerful and influential person in the world, and Norman agreed--in exchange defeating Spider-Man. Of course, Norman wouldn't realize that the nature of Spider-Man's defeat was emotional given that it wiped out his marriage to Mary Jane, but it was a "defeat" nevertheless. Now, perhaps, with the Siege, it all ends up backfiring on Norman, because it's all been a ploy by Mephisto who has been in league with Loki all along--who if you notice in the Dark Reign one-shot, didn't look phased by Norman's "trump card" at all.
At least, that's a working theory. But then again, it's probably Molecule Man.

Aries or Noh Varr won't die. Moon Stone maybe but neither of those two will die. Speaking of which, where is Noh-Varr?
