This is what I mean by the the type of negativity on these boards. They can't even seem to have any respect for some other opposing opinion.
Dragon the poster liked the movie and that offended you?
It is clear to anybody that has read the early comic books that for the most part Reed, Ben and Johnny's characters were spot on. The only anomaly was Sue in that she was portrayed more to the modern version of Sue Storm.
Your comments mean you are either just ignorant of the early comic book or you are just being a troll.
What are you some sort of megalamaniac where you think that your opinion is the one that counts and everyone must agree with you.
No doubt you have not figured out why so many people love the movie.
Think about it.
Man I can't believe the nonsense sometimes.
So, you protest being offended by someone else's opinion by calling me names. Very clever.
So many people didn't love the movie. It made money, but it wasn't a blockbuster, and Fox and Marvel are going to have to bust their buts to get the same kind of audience numbers the second time, after the novelty and newness have worn off.
And pal- I own the early issues, and apparently know them alot better than you. For instance- I don't recall Doom being an organic-armored Norman Osborn rip-off.
And it took Ben Grimm some time to come to terms with his condition. He was after a few weeks sporting custom-made Nikes and partying with his blind chick. And Johnny was a hothead- but never- NEVER the cruel egotistical jerk portrayed in that film- and mind you- in the comics, Johnny was a teenager. Johnny would never have made a laughing stock of Ben in front of a bunch of TV reporters especially after the horrible experience Ben had just been through on the bridge. And, from Day One Reed was a leader. not an idiot who's every invention failed and who couldn't guide his team.
Have I missed anyone? Oh yes. Sue. More modern you say? The girl who was used as a sex object distraction? The girl who was under Doom's thumb, and somehow mistook that for love? The girl who was a nag to Reed and her brother? Yes. That was a more modern up-to-date woman.
Like I said. I don't give a rats-ass what entertains you. But don't tell me that unimaginative waste of time and effort was a good movie.
