While many stories are inspired, few stories ever truly last and inspire other stories. Most, for example, do not know the story of the Golem, yet know the story of Frankenstein. So their works would be based on that.

However, it is a classic classic, as it's the only book aside from religious text to never ever stop printing. And that it's required reading in the college level. (In America at least, mid school level here in Europe.)

I think most proffesional writers would know the story of the Golem. It's a classic of its genre which is Gothic Horror as stated, it's not a piece of Classical literature. Again you try an argue against something which has a factual definition.

Actually, many writers probably don't. And while many DO, most writers will think back to a story they enjoyed more and emulate that. Which most writers will definitely say the story of Frankenstein.

So you're just trying to shove technicalities. And what is it about technicalities? If you must use them to win an arguement, your original arguement simply wasn't strong enough on it's own.

Right, I see. So you don't think a writer basing a story on a book would research that story he or she is basing his or her book on? O.K....... By the way, it's technicality and argument, I hope you don't mind my little spelling corrections, do you? As a Dyslexic I like to provide assistance where I can in this area.

I wasn't saying you were lying about buying the movie. I believe you bought it, and I don't care. It's a good movie. I was responding to the others that didn't believe you were actually 19. That's what I was referring to.

2 statements: 1)with a name like "whirly"spats, why would you let it be known you were looking for his silver spoon?
2) I think he does have one but we can't see it. The power cosmic let's it come out when its time for some action. Feel me? I know you don't, that was to deep to comprehend. :o

Its obvious the guy is naked except for his glaze. He has no dick, the fact you believe it comes out says far more about you than a name from a Ben Elton joke which has nothing to do with male genitals says about me.:) He's got no dick and the power cosmic is never going to help you see it. Live with it. Trust me I don't want to feel you!

the last few comicbooks ive seen with WW in it. shes gain some weight so i dont think SS would want to eat her with all the fat on her. :D hers are bigger as well now these days. lol

HEY! shes not getting fatter! Shes getting less young. And another thing, have you seen the women on TV nowadays? You gotta be a fat to be an idol for women, but only because each and every woman says "Hey look shes FAT! haha! I look SO much better"

So its also called marketing

Since the Surfer can control and transmute matter including that of his own body he can have one six feet long if he wants.

Since the Surfer sees across the entire EM spectrum he undoubtedly sees right through clothing constantly which means he sees so much of it that it is probably boring especially since he is not even of the same species.

So he´s a dickless voyeur who spends his time looking at women from other species naked?

Dr. Ruth would have a field day with him. :D

there are so many ways hed kill her that youd basically say everything hed do would kill her,she can lift like a few tons,he can lift over one hundred thousand and her skin although inconsistanly tuff is no where near invulnerable while hes yet to have any real wounds.Hed tear her apart, she couldent withstand most of the thing he puts himself through willingly let alone what has been done to him.

*sigh* I like these debates but they do get a bit disturbing at times...

About them youngins not reading the classics anymore, I'm 21 and I was reading treasure Island, Frankenstien and other classics since I was 12. Some I had to read for school but I mostly enjoy a good book, never completely understood the Dorian Grey book though, and in the movie wasn't his death the complete opposite of what happened in the book?

Voting WW, because she is female and I read the WW comicbook. Nothing beyond that really.

Actually, I don't really care. But if you're going to do it at all, spread it to everybody.

I think writers do the research, but like all humans, contain bias. I guarantee most people who write books, try to emulate, at least at first, their favorite writers, and not the object behind them. I don't even know where you achieved your statement from, as it doesn't really seem to relate to mine all that well.

And I was right using technicalities. Unless it's spelled "technicality's," which I'm fairly sure is wrong.

i prefer wonder woman because i love woman and she is greek

Not being picky but it's technicality because it didn't require a plural the way you constructed your sentence. :)

I still think most writers do more than read someones ideas and copy them.
That leads to law suits.

Actually, technicalities worked perfectly regardless of what you may believe.

As for the writers issue: You can take the idea, and be inspired by it. Just because someone is inspired, doesn't mean they make a just short of duplicate of the other story.
