Okay Nathan Christopher Summers is Cable. The son of Scott and Madelyne(the clone of Jean, so it kind of is Jean geneticly just not emotionally).

Nate Grey, is Xman. The genetic baby that Sinister made out of Jean and Scotts genes. He is named Nate( to confuse with his bro Nathan lol) after Nathaniel, Sinisters first name.

Alright did you get that?

This will always be my one of my favorites...

I love the "You have a name, chum?" line... :D
The "Mister" part may be a little cheesy (I like it anyways) but I think he got his name from his wife, who saw some of his genetic experiments and called him "Sinister!" (or something like that).

A little bit on the likely Origin of the name:

'Mr Sinister Smiles' was a poem written by an anonymous that described how pale, freakish and grotesqye Syphillis can be for both the victim and the onlookers.

Mr. Sinister smiles--
At you--Lady, and drools--

And drips a bit from where
You'd guess, but would most fear.

He has made many plans:
Little trips for his hands.

And they all involve you.
Oh there's nothing to do--

But wait for him. He's there
You know, and he's like air:

He's everywhere you'd go.
He's got something to show

Just you. You won't like it.

WTF is that Between Madelyne Legs??

An N'Garai demon I think.

That was the Inferno Saga right?

My God, The X-Men have seen some freaky ****.

they better throw sinister in the end for a cliff hanger. how awsome would it be if at the end of the movie it shows the graves of jean and scott during a rainy night with lightnigh and stuff. then suddenly a shovel digs in to the grave. the camera zooms out and it shows mr sinister laughing maniacly.

No way!

Too schlock horror!

I don't want Zombie Slim and Redd!
I would rather have a simple shot of him in a lab somewhere as Dr. Essex, with maybe a closeup of his eyes turning red...

I think the 'Sinister Revelation' has to be subtle, like the phoenix imprint at the end of X2 - Something that the fans will understand but won't leave the general movie goers saying 'So.. what was the deal with that random pale guy at the end?"

Exaaaaaactly! :D

i think it has to be even more subtle than Jean in the end of X2. Lots of non fans noticed the yellow "aura" when even some fans didnt :p
my parents, who had never seen Phoenix, knew that she was underwater when they watched, and said, "Ah, so she didnt die...does that mean there will be another movie?"

So Sinister is the surprise character at the end of X3, that sets up X4?

No, just a guess (My $$ is on Sinister). I was thinking of putting up a poll asking who people thought the "surprise character" is...Sinister, Gambit, Apocalypse, Shadow King...any other guesses??

i dont think it will be gambit...he's my favourite characteer, but, he's not a character that can set up a whole movie...so i go with Sinister...

I think Sinister is a good choice, plus introducing a new villain leaves a lot more to look forward too, than a new hero. But I think Gambit might be also, since the writers did plan to get him to be in the movie. But I agree, there are nearly a hundred different X-men characters, it could be anyone!!!

Hellfire Club
And/or Emma Frost?

Here's some quotes from Simon K:
Q: I remember a while back it was either you or Zak or someone else that said Warren Sr. was NOT the new villian like the AICN script review had reported. I hope this isnt a spoiler, but if he isnt then who is? Or are we assume that the Brotherhood and Phoenix are the only villians?
A: I can’t really get into detail about the film’s villains. But I will say that the AICN review was not accurate.

Q: What is your opinoin of the cinematic transition of the Hellfire Club, Nathaniel Essex and Apocalypse?
A: I would love to see them in an X-Men movie. We toyed with Apocalypse at one point. I’m a big Hellfire Club fan, and I wish there would have been an organic way to integrate them into our story.

Q: Personally, I think the Hellfire Club would fit the into the movie universe very well and could also be damn frightening and interesting villains. We've heard that Bryan Singer juggled with the idea of including Emma Frost and Sebastian Shaw into the third film when he was on board but what is your opinion, can you see them working in the film universe and would you think about including them as future villains if you got the chance? I know that Sinister and Apocalypse are very popular villains, and I can see Sinister making the transition from comic book to film and still being realistic, interesting and threatening, not so with Apocalypse, I've always seen him as a cheesy bad guy that's kind of one dimensional, what would you think about their inclusion in the franchise?
A: I think they would all be great on film. They’re all rich characters. And we considered a lot of them as we developed the story. But ultimately, the story dictates which characters will fit the film – we couldn’t force different villains into the movie simply for the sake of a cameo. Especially with these big characters, we all want to make sure they got their due. I hope to see them all (especially Emma) in an X-Men movie someday.

Q: If at some point in the future they decided to make an X Men 4 and you were working on the script, what storyline would you like to go with? Would it be one of your favourite storylines from the comics? What characters would you personally like to see translated to the big screen?
A: One of my favorite storylines is Days Of Future Past. But I’m not sure how film-friendly it would be. As for characters, I would love to write Emma and Gambit. They would be great fun to cast.
