Smallville possible spin-offs

I am glad the Aquaman TV Show failed because it was a bastardization of the character. If you are going to use WB Characters to make a show, atleast be respectful to the source material - it is the reason Smallville works.

A Green Arrow TV show is the way to go. Not only is he one of the most interesting characters in the DC Universe, his portrayl on Smallville has been quite good and Hartley has shown to be a great addition to the show. Plus, having a CW Show focused around one of the lesser-known heroes would open up the possibility for a future GA movie.

Couldn't that be said about Aquaman? He is lesser known than GA, and a smaller fanbase.

Yes, but if the Aquman pilot is any sign - they refuse to do a faithful Aquaman show. Aquaman without Atlantis is not Aquaman. That would be like taking Clark and making him a Meteor Freak.

Clark didn't know about Krypton until the second season, and even then he only knew what it was called. He learned more in the next four seasons. Plus in the Aquaman pilot, AC finds out hes from Atlantis, just doesn't go there then, I'm sure he will in a few years, or have a chance to go.

Still, its not the same. Arthur is not in his place as King of Atlantis, it neglected important parts of Aquaman's past.

Don't get me wrong, I am not a huge comic purist - however to take the character of Aquaman and take him out of his natural enviroment is a stupid idea.

A Green Arrow show would be both more entertaining (since Green Arrow is simply a much more interesting character than Aquaman) and faithful. The perfect mix.

Aquaman didn't become King of Atlantis for a couple of years anyway, so I'm guessing thats where the show would have ended, or we see him traveling back to Mercy Reef to his freinds and what not.

AC has had several diffrent origin storys..

the first was that he was just a normal human who lived in atlantis with his father (in a watertight "house") and became Aquaman after studing antient atlantian stuff..
Then they change it to what they based the series on.. that he was the son of a lighthouse dude and an an outcast from atlantis (Atlanna)
Then they change it too the origin that he has today.. (that his name is Orin and stuff)

Just like Smallville .. Mercy Reef is based on the storys and origin from the 60's..

Isn't the origin of him and his mother banished from Atlantis the current origin? I think it is.

But the JLA wouldn't have Supes, Bats or Diana. It may not have Flash either because of the new movie. Unless we get Impulse. So Impulse, Green Arrow, Black Canary, Martian Manhunter, Cyborg, Aquaman, and some other DC hero to be the League? I'd watch it, but without any of the top 3 and no Flash, I don't know if it would work. Maybe they would put in Supergirl or Powergirl.

if they did do a JL show what would be the main plot driver

i could see them explain it as clark leaves on his journy and the Jl are there to defend metropolis and destroy all the meteor freaks untill he gets back. this way u can get Lex into the show or sum other cast memebers?

And that my friends is the million dollar question. The lineup itself is really not that important to me. If it starred Oliver, Bart, Angel of Vengeance, Victor, or whoever, and with other heroes sprinkled in everynow and then, I'd be cool with that. But the key thing is, what's going to drive it all?

how bout just a teen titans

not without dick grayson or raven:cmad:

unless they started with the originals- but wally was in that and movie department:cmad:

I'd be cool with any roster, but hardcore fans may be pissed about not having any og the top three or even Flash. I wouldn't care, but the show could lose alot of viewers that way.

Angel of Vengeance - series title "Vengeance" so it doesn't get confused with "Dark Angel". Have her go out looking for other powered folks who've killed for revenge but regret it. They can all vow to help in the background while leaving the killing to others, as atonement for their Lady Macbeth moments...

I don't know much about "Birds of Prey" so I don't know how similar this would be.

^^^^^^^^^eh i didnt really care for her....
