The show is expected to be part of upfront presentation of The CW network -- which is merging The WB and UPN -- on Thursday.
The news wasn't as good for other comics-based shows.
Mercy Reef, the Aquaman series from Smallville executive producers Al Gough and Miles Millar, was not picked up by The CW.
Ultra, based on the Image Comics series, was not part of CBS' new lineup announced on Wednesday.
