Or if he'll be called Superman this season before he flies and gets the final suit. Also, is TW playing Jor-El again?

I'm still not convinced that you wouldn't have already moved on
I absolutely would have moved on. I would have forgotten about this thread and that would have been it. This would make me a troll how, exactly? Voicing an opinion and leaving doesn't mean I was posting to aggravate.

It's not a lot of tact to walk into a board (comprised mostly of fans of something) introducing yourself with "this sucks." You may give people the wrong impression.
Somehow I'm not really concerned.

Sounds like you just did. Bravo at sneaking that shot in there.
Not really. My comment can't be described as a "shot" against Smalville, since it actually argued nothing about the quality of Smallville itself; it only demonstrated that your logic was fallacious. Again, if I wanted to aggravate people by berating Smallville, I would probably be doing that now.

Nice use of extrapolating an out of context fragment of a description and replying to that single point.
If you honestly think that your interpretation of that definition was correct, and that mine was not, then I see no point in arguing with you. The meaning is quite clear; I'm sure the problem is not that you don't understand it, but rather that you are simply content to pretend it means something else in order to support your position.

If you're willing to have reasonable discussion, please stick around.
as long as it's a discussion you're looking for, and not a reaction.
I'm afraid whether or not I stick around will not be decided by your absurd standards.

Saint, Syncos, both of you please stop! You guys have been doing this for multiple pages now. This is WAY off topic. You guys have broken multiple site rules with your back and forth rambling!

Spamming:
Spam is defined as posts that are inconsistent with the other thread or forum dialogue. Spamming may result in a warning or probation. Continued spamming may result in banning.

Trolling:
Trolling is considered the starting of a thread or posting in an established thread or forum for the express purpose of ticking off as many people as possible that would normally be reading that thread or forum. Trolling can result in a warning or probation. Continued trolling may result in banning.

Fighting:
Any excessive fighting or heated arguing between any number of posters that includes harassment of any kind may result in the closing of the thread, warnings issued to all involved users, probation, or possibly banning.

We don't want to see you guys get the wrath of the mods on you. Both of you please just stop replying to one another. If you have nothing left to say about the Panel at the SDCC then get the hell out of the thread.

take the fight to PMs or something, guys, let this thread get back on topic

they've always been clear that the show is a "reinterpretation" of the Superman mythos. They never claimed that it would follow the classic mythology 100%.

The thing is too, if it was an exact reinterpretation of the comics, what would keep people watching if they knew how everything was going to unfold. You have to change things in order to keep the audience's attention and investment in the characters and storyline.

So how many of you guys hope that the footage comes out officially from wb? i know it hasnt happened before, but their was that rumor a few days ago it might be.

I don't think it's going to happen. Don't know why not, I mean everyone wants to see it and it would generate more buzz for almost no cost (they already spent the money and the banwidth wouldn't necessarily cost them anymore than they're already spending on thewb.com site).

They're just being stupid, proving yet again that WB is run by Idiots.

Ya it will be nice if it was release but more likely then not it wont, and we will just see some of it showed when official season 9 promos start in a month.

Attempt Number 2 of the original prototype suit I did yesterday^^ Clicky for larger, tried to blend a picture of Tom Welling with an open jacket onto the coat picture of Neo & this is the best I could come up with, also tried different "atmos" colors

Does Comic Con have some kind of rule on that kind of thing?

You know a timed Exclusive?

It might be they have to wait a certain amount of time after the con from officially showing the stuff because the Con doesn't want people to stop coming because they know they can just see all the goodies on the web the next day.

Just thinking anyway.

I need to ask about the upcoming JSA, because I wonder about this.

On one hand, when the show started, I'm correct when I say that when the meteor rocks (aka kryptonite) gave people powers, it was a shock value for others who found out about this as this was the first time people got powers outside of comics in the Smallville universe. On another hand though, we don't know the Smallville universe origin for Black Canary (same towards Aquaman and Impulse actually though).

With this in mind, if the JSA are from the same universe as the others in the Smallville universe, how are they going to explain why no one even mentioned "past heroes" when new people appear with superpowers? But, if there is a good reason for this, then will the JSA appear from a Smallville version of Earth-2? And if so, then will we see a Smallville E2 Superman, in costume, speaking to our Clark?

Makes you wonder...

Ya i do wonder how they will go about the jsa, will they be old heros who are retired in present day, will they be a team of present day heros, will clark be sent into the past when they were in prime(if they are a group from the past), or will it be a jl like group of heroes of an alternate dimension. I pointed this out here or another thread the producers did talk about time travel/parallel dimensions playing into effect in the season with their interview with voices of krypton.

I don't know, if so then it would vary from show/film to show/film because there is alot of SDCC footage that has been legitmately released such as the LOST videos and The Prisoner remake extended trailer.

It would be nice to see a legit version of the trailer, but at least we don't have too much longer to wait.
