Smallville Panel Scheduled For Comic-Con

E! Online has uncovered details for the schedule of the Comic-Con International in San Diego next month - and Smallville does have a panel scheduled!

Unless something changes, expect Smallville's panel to run from 10:30-11:30am on Sunday, July 26. Right after it will be a Supernatural panel!

Another highlight for the Con will be a Saturday panel for Laura Vandervoort's new series V which is said to feature a screening of the series pilot.

Unfortunately, tickets to the event are already sold out, but you can expect several of the panels to be covered here with the KryptonSite Network of sites.

Hoping Tom will show up this year...

As much as we all would love TOM to show up its doubtful it will happen. Usually he is filming an episode at the time the cons he hasnt been to have happened. During that week they would i think be on filming of 3rd episode of the season. Since last year they had episdoes 1/2 in the can by comic con and had previews of 1/2.

As for this years panelists i can see it being Souders and peterson the head producers for 9th year. Then i can see "Mason" actor probably being another guest. Then maybe one or two other leads between erica/justin/cassidy/allison being who ever is free at the time.

Why even bother? The Cons are used to pulicize shows and build hype for the coming season. The CW has basically sent Smallville to the gallows at this point with the ******ed move to Friday nights.

Let me pull out my crystal ball on this one. Allison, Erica, and Justin will be there, maybe with a new castmember or 2 and maybe even a guest star like Phil Morris, provided of course that they can find the key to the broom closet he seemingly got locked in mid-season. TPTB will stand up there and make vague promises about Clark being more on the "road to becoming Superman" than ever before and hype this as "the biggest season yet." Then they'll spend the rest of the time trying to convince the audience how the move to Fridays is a "good thing" for the show.

And yes, someone DID pee in my cornflakes this morning.

Are you psychic?! I'll say Allison will miss this one as TPB are determined to squash her into every episode and Cassidy will be there and 'Mason' despite no one caring what either of them have to say. The writers have all the answers but people asking questions would rather talk to their favourite.

Is he ever going to fly?

no clark is going to become a golden-age superman-like character rather than the silver age superman character that has been set up. Flying isn't essential to superman, every superhero and their mother can fly. He should just put on a flight ring and get it over with like he did in the LOSH cartoon.

I just hope a few upset people in the crowd can sneak in some tough questions

Well we shouldnt be all crazed about the move to friday's we have no clue how it will do on ratings and as long as it remains at or above 3.0 millions which is the lowest it usually has gotten in some episodes the network will be happen. I do hope for the best and that the show does well on the friday move, i am not worried as i said heck the show has moved a few times in its history. First it was tues at 9, then wensdays at 8, and then to its thursday slot.

As for the con itself i do hope who ever are the panelists we will get some good questions and not the same crap people have asked in the past.

Someone who goes should ask why they screwed over the perfectly fine Jimmy we had and shoehorned 8 year old JINO (yeah, I went there) into the show, as opposed to a very natural arch that was already in motion of Jimmy cleaning up from his drug kick and Chloe's death by doomsday bringing the 2 of them (Jimmy and Clark) closer as friends.

And "DC says Jimmy had to be younger" is an unacceptable answer :cmad:

Seriously, I can forgive the Lana arch if it means she's gone for good, but the Jimmy fiasco is not only my biggest dissappointment this season, but my biggest dissappointment of the entire series. And I've watched from season 1, episode 1.

Yea i know the whole jimmy thing is a weird situation if it was such an issue when they brought in the character couldnt they have done something different. We have gotten a black pete ross, we had lex learn the secret and then some changes with ollie from comics ollie. I never really had an issue with jimmy being around the same age. I was hoping to see jimmy clean up his act more, maybe then at some point in season 9 could have gone back to the planet and the daily planet 3 could have been together.

Damn. I'll be at my first SDCC this year. Too bad I'm leaving Sunday morning.

well the panel footage/clips of it will likely turn up pirated on youtube and then officially from cw soon after. Now i do hope they show some footage of season 9 episodes they would have in the can already and that footage gets online like last yrs footage did.

there'll probably be a lot of pissed off people in the crowd but will be too afraid to ask the tough questions. they'll ask softball ones like "what was your favorite scene when filming?"

Well for folks who been to past smallville comic cons panels hasnt some folks got some good questions in and answered?

Knowing the track record for Smallville, no, probably not.

I get the feeling you're right. I'm slowing losing interest in this show. I was really geting into the show over the last two seasons. Now there's just to much Chloe and her eyebrows for me. I'll give it one more season but I'm geting tired of the red blue blur.

The Red and Blue Blur/Good Samaritian is a protottype of Superman and Clark did something similar for years before he became Superman( read Man Of Steel#1) the only reason I like Chloe is to find out what happens to her but she can get on my nerves

Yeah I get ya but isn't it time for the Red Blue Blure to become what he becomes? How long are they going to milk it. I think it's time to get on with the story.

Well they still do have restrictions on what they can and cant do. Which i believe is one of the reasons why they cant call him superman still.
