Well everyone I had to. This is dedicated to The Green Goblin, the villain I would have liked to had scene portrayed scarier and darker the first time around. Given the reboot, discuss what the Green Goblin's role should be, his look, and when he should enter the picture.

I'll start off by saying I would love the Spectacular Spider-Man Animated Series route, Norman Osborn has a hand in creating these villains running around giving Spider-Man a hard time, as well as becoming the Green Goblin, but in the 2nd film.

If they could do the Joker twice, looking the same, the Goblin should be no exception. I do not want Ultimate Goblin, but transforming into the goblin, with the glider, and pumpkin bombs, etc, would be acceptable.

We need a dark nightmarish looking goblin. Some ideas come to mind.

I wouldn't mind seeing Norman Osborn for a bit in the next Spider-man movie and then use him as the Green Goblin in ASM3.

Original Goblin definitely, but a much darker version than the one we got in Raimi's kid friendly verse.

And I am starting to lean to seeing him early on in the reboot. Guess the images of the not used costume(s) has stoked my interest, pluse IF we get a darker more adult oriented version of the Goblin in the reboot,

I think Raimi nailed the Norman Osborn side of the character... but yeah, I'd love to see a much more darker Goblin.

Original but in the Thunderbolts/MUA2 "gritty" version of the classic costume. I think he should be in the second movie though, ala Joker in TDK. Osborn should have a decent sized role in the first movie & the end of it teases Osborn transforming into the Goblin.

A traditional Goblin would be great. A transformation wouldn't even be necessairy since in this day and age a "talking mask" is absolutely realistic, if it's a mask molded out of silicone.

Those guys are specialized in it and the result is pretty impressive. It's even consumer-level costwise. Now, imagine what could be achieved with a movie studios resourcess.

why does everybody think that the green goblins mask has to be realistic? Or spideys costume? As long as it's cool it doesn't mind me.

I mean, spiderman series has so many unrealistic things in it and you people are complaining about those? Soon everybody's going to say like "an alien symbiote? How unrealistic is that... let's make it like a metaphor!"

Cause one of the arguments way back when this was still Spider-man hype was:

"We need a transformation cause a mask mimicing facial features is unrealistic"

...and the same argument was used for the static Goblin helmet in the final product. Now, I really didn't mind the Goblin costume from the first movie, I actually liked it, especially the body suit, but after I watched the video on that webpage I linked to, I realized, Yes, a goblin mask like in the comics is doable in the real world and therefore legitimized in the movie world as well.

The original version, i actually liked the raimi version, for me he was well done, but i would like him to be in the 3rd film, if they put him in the secound that would be imitating the joker´s success, also if they put him in the 2nd then the 3rd wouldn´t be able to use a supperior story, and we repeat the faillure of all the other 3rd films again.
You need to keep the great moments for the 3rd film.
