So I've been on the Insulin pump for a week and. . .

Hey JP, that's great! Really. I love to hear diabetes success stories. To many end way to sadly.

I'm surprised someone young like you likes the pump. I would think it would be a bit of a drag. But I suppose that the needles can suck too.

What kind of insulin is it? Humilin, bayeda, long lasting...

Humalog. I've had diabetes for 8 years now.. and needles suck. And the diet is even worse. So to 'kinda' get rid of both is nice.

I know kids as young as three on the pump. I've never heard of someone thinking it was a drag.. I mean, it's virtually painless. I guess having to test your blood constantly throughout the day can become a bit of a drag.. hm.

No. I like to act like I do because all the cool kids have it.
Really? I'm sure my Ex used to pretend to have diabetes to get the attention. I went out with her for 6 months and never once saw her take insulin or diet tablets of any kind. One of the few little things that started to make me think she was a lying b**ch.

Faking diabetes.. not cool. :down

My 7 year old sister has diabetes. She has to take shots. It sucks.

Awesome, JP. :yay:

*I worked in health care for a very long time, so I'm hip to the medical scene.
