So, uh... Wolverine vs. Thor?

I can't wait to see how horribly this thing is written.

wow... Thor DID get owned by the Red Hulk...
and Frank Tieri aint that bad... i like Gotham Underground

It really should just be Thor lightning-striking Wolverine through his claws and frying him from the inside out.

The probability is Wolverine claw-blocking the lightning, slicing mjolnir in half and headbutting Thor (a god) into dreamland.

I would rather see a fistfight between Hugh Jackman and Chris Hemsworth....

Read the next issue. Thor kicks Rulk's ass. It makes about as little sense as Rulk kicking Thor's ass in the previous issue, but it's Loeb. What are you gonna do? :o

What's funny about this stuff is you know they're gonna have wolverine hanging in cause of his excellent several hundreds years of fighting skills while they're gonna completely disregard thor's thousands and have him as some stupid slugger type.

I still can't get over the fact that Juggernaut had once kicked Thor's ass....
That's just wrong...

I'm expecting Thor to pontificate about nothing in particular while Wolverine easily gets the drop on him. Because Thor just walks around spouting nonsense and basically asking to be punched in the mouth when bad writers try to write him.

I would pay good money to see Thor dent Wolverine's skull. He's broken adamantium before, so we know he's got the power. Plus, it'd be both hilarious and awesome.

I want Thor to break Wolverine's claws. Too much?

Sounds great. And then Wolverine crawls to Magneto to help knock the dent out :hehe:!

i'm sure Rulk will just come and throw planet earth at the both of them...while all 3 are on earth....but don't worry...while the planet is speeding out of orbit towards the sun, Rulk will just move the sun

puny sun

I like Tieri, wrote one of my favourite Deadpool runs ever. But seeing as he has written some weapon x stuff in the past I suspect he has some bias towards Wolverine.

I hope it doesn't happen like that though. Thor should kick his ass. Verily.

Oh, there's no question at all, really. Thor is going to come off looking like a moron and Wolverine is going to fare far better than he should. I have absolutely no doubt about that. But, much like the Rulk issues Thor appeared in, I'll have to give it a look out of morbid curiosity.

Sometimes having a favorite character sucks. :csad:

I still don't buy that he could take The Thing...

much less Thor.

Here's my version of the Wolverine / Thor battle.

"Snikt"
"SKRAAAAKAAATTAAAA"
"Thunk"

This has been Aunt Petunia Theatre.

:thing: :doom: :thing:

I'm one of the few that subs to Marvel's digital whatsis, so I'll let you know how it turns out.

This one does make me scratch my head a bit, though. I had thought that they would use this system to try out things that might not sell so well on the stands, and then sell the trades if people liked the digital one. "Anything with Wolverine" would seem to fall in the category of "sells well at the LCBS."

I like Wolverine, but put me in the column of "would like to see him get thrown around.....a lot." A dent would be nice....

They will obviously make Wolverine win. No way are they going to have Thor smash his skull in or even kill him which is a near impossible feat anyway.

I don't think they'll have Wolvie win at all. I do however think they will have him put up a better fight than he actually should.

A Sentinel did it pretty easily in Days of Future Past. But that was before Wolverine's popularity exploded, back when he was still a character rather than a plot device.

I miss those days. :csad:

If that were to happen, I'd read it without a second thought, no matter if the rest of it is crap in a hat.

Around that time Mystique nearly killed him by slitting his throat. She remarked that there were no bones to stop her blade and the blood loss was too much for his healing factor.

Jeez. What happened there? He take a bath in the Terrigen Mists when no one was looking?

No, the '90s push toward "X-TREEEEEM!!!" happened and writers kept leapfrogging Logan past his established limits. It's sad, but at this point that iconic scene from Claremont's run where Wolverine owns the Hellfire Club would be basically meaningless. Of course Logan's gonna own a building packed with security guards--I mean, they're only guys with guns. Plus, he wouldn't even sneak around, he'd just barge right in, get shot half a million times, and be totally fine.

I love to bring up Spidey's pwning of the X-Men in Secret Wars.

Yes, Wolverine was there too and Pete made short work of his ass.

:D

:ff: :ff: :ff:

Wolverine Fans: He was just surprised. Spider-Man ran away like a b**** before he could get back up and pwn him.

My favorite is the first issue of the most recent Marvel Team-Up series, which opens with a big splash page of Wolverine webbed between two buildings with his fists webbed against his head so he can't even cut his way out. :hehe:

Maybe, just maybe they will use this as a Thor vehicle though. Seeing as he is the one getting a movie now. They are making a new Thor animated series too ain't they?

And what better way to get Thor some commercial limelight for his movie than throwing him in the ring with Mr Over exposed himself?

Maybe they are doing Thor vs Wolverine because they know people will pick it up because of Wolverine, but maybe put it down thinking "Hmmm actually, that Thor guy is pretty bad ass. Let's check his movie out"
