dread hates silly light-hearted fun

Maybe I'm reaching that age when I want a comic story to go somewhere. I was in the city the other day and almost bought SCOTT PILGRIM and didn't consider killing myself. I'm almost willing to read an indie comic that isn't MAUS. Yikes!
But that's a good thing![]()
The Red Ghost will make this monkey his *****.

If I wanted to read girly comics, I'd have bit on SPIDER-MAN LOVES MARY JANE.
It does help me try to seek out better Big Two comics, though, as well as praise Image more. Have I plugged DYNAMO 5 this week yet?

Scott Pilgrim is not a girly comic:.
Well it's confirmed. This guy is Hitman Monkey and Deadpool & Spidey will face him in February. ^^

“WHATEVER A SPIDER CAN,” PART 2
Deadpool and Spider-Man team up (yes, team up) to combat the unstoppable killing machine known as Hitman Monkey!
Yes, Hitman Monkey.
Yeah, I didn't think that Scott Pilgrim was considered a girly comic, either
And I wasn't just talking about Pilgrim, Dread, I meant that going outside the big Two occasionally and picking up indie comics in general. You made it seem like it was a rare thing, and I was just saying, that's a good thing, and you should do it more![]()

This must be Marvel's version of Mojo Jojo.![]()
Seriously, you're missing out on a ton of great stuff if you're only reading the big two (and Image, I guess).
Although, honestly, it's been a while since I've read something outside of Dark Horse. But I did get Stumptown, my first Oni comic in a while (I think the last was Local).
