So, who's the new guy?

PET AVENGERS, which, at best, sold 22k.

Not knocking it. It just didn't sell well.

Yea cool. Not questioning your comic book authority Dread! It would be foolish to do so! :D

But I don't think Marvel will put too many eggs in this basket, so to speak. Just some silly shenanigans. They've still got that shizzle going on in Olympus and Siege coming up.

I just get tired of the same old ideas.

Jazz up the fans with a monkey! Yeah, MARVEL APES was DOA, dudes.

Maybe I'm reaching that age when I want a comic story to go somewhere. I was in the city the other day and almost bought SCOTT PILGRIM and didn't consider killing myself. I'm almost willing to read an indie comic that isn't MAUS. Yikes!

But that's a good thing:huh:

But that's a good thing:huh:

If I wanted to read girly comics, I'd have bit on SPIDER-MAN LOVES MARY JANE. :p

It does help me try to seek out better Big Two comics, though, as well as praise Image more. Have I plugged DYNAMO 5 this week yet?

The Red Ghost will make this monkey his *****.

:ff: :ff: :ff:

I always found it funny how Red Ghost, unlike the Fantastic Four and the U-Foes, couldn't find three friends to join him, so he takes three apes. That's like if a nerd from the Bronx had the same idea, only he took a pet gerbil and his iPod, and they got super powers too. :D

Scott Pilgrim is not a girly comic:down:

Also, Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane was good:down:

And considering I got bored with Noble Causes waaay before I stopped reading it, I don't think I'd be interesting in Fearber doing another comic with a relatively similar theme.

Fearber's claimed in some of his various interviews that he worked through some errors with NOBLE CAUSES and in a way DYNAMO 5 is stronger for it. I mean D5 isn't the best comic ever, but it's just as good if not better than quite a few Marvel or DC team books I could mention that sell double or triple. But, to each their own.

Yeah, I didn't think that Scott Pilgrim was considered a girly comic, either:huh:

And I wasn't just talking about Pilgrim, Dread, I meant that going outside the big Two occasionally and picking up indie comics in general. You made it seem like it was a rare thing, and I was just saying, that's a good thing, and you should do it more :yay:

Well it's confirmed. This guy is Hitman Monkey and Deadpool & Spidey will face him in February. ^^

This must be Marvel's version of Mojo Jojo. :funny:

Seriously? That must be in Deadpool 19. He'll probably get killed off then. :dpf:

“WHATEVER A SPIDER CAN,” PART 2
Deadpool and Spider-Man team up (yes, team up) to combat the unstoppable killing machine known as Hitman Monkey!
Yes, Hitman Monkey.

Remember kids. Never underestimate Monkeys with guns! Hellboy taught you that!

Seriously, you're missing out on a ton of great stuff if you're only reading the big two (and Image, I guess).

Although, honestly, it's been a while since I've read something outside of Dark Horse. But I did get Stumptown, my first Oni comic in a while (I think the last was Local).

I have to admit, a monkey with guns makes perfect sense for a Deadpool comic. :hehe:

But if it makes sense... Wouldn't that condract (spelling) the point of Deadpool comics?

"Contradict." And no, you've gotta have some things that make sense to make all the crazy even more effective. :awesome:

My two favorite characters vs a monkey with guns? That's just plain epic.

I do buy some Dark Horse comics. Umbrella Academy = Win.

Indie comics and Big Two (or Three) comics are usually opposing poles of course. One is about narrative and change and the other is about cash in and perpetual status quo's. I can't imagine reading both and getting equal enjoyment. It's akin to people who are fans of both wrestling and Oscar worthy films. Do any exist?

Well it's confirmed. This guy is Hitman Monkey and Deadpool & Spidey will face him in February. ^^

Brilliant; Marvel homages POWERPUFF GIRLS, which only went off the air about four and a half years ago (barely 2 months after Pres. Bush would have been sworn in for a second term). Way to be timely, gang. :whatever:

What next? Marvel creates a teenage character into skate-boards and a Walkman?

Seriously, you're missing out on a ton of great stuff if you're only reading the big two (and Image, I guess).

I do read some Dark Horse stuff.
