If they have left Half-sack alive..... then he has to be upgraded from a Prospect.

For all the people that think Half Sack (Johnny Lewis)
...is coming back next Season, this is straight from the mouth of Kurt Sutter himself...

Sons of Anarchy: Creator Kurt Sutter talks finale
By Alan Sepinwall/The Star-Ledger

Gemma's a fugitive, Abel has been abducted, Half-Sack is dead… I guess Half-Sack being dead isn't something hanging out there, but there is a whole lot to be resolved.

"Right, right. Let me just start, because I know people are going to be pissed off about the Half-Sack thing. I will tell you that I've been having conversations with Johnny Lewis all season, and Johnny wasn't happy on the show. Creatively, he really wanted out of his contract. We had ongoing conversations, and we decided we'd find some noble way for him to go. It wasn't my intent to try to be sensational and kill off a main character. People are going to have their reaction, but I don't want an actor that's not happy. It's not good for the actor, and it's not good for the show. I love Johnny. I'd work with him again in a heartbeat."

So, let's move on to another prospect...

that's how it be sometime....I can respect that though

True. Situations like that usually get real messy Like Jessica Biel nuding up for Gear back in the day, so they'd let her out of her 7th Heaven contract.

And at the very least, Lewis character died honorably. Some people who try to leave a show get killed off in the most embarassing ways. That chick on LA Law (who had also been on Star Trek: TNG) who fell down the elevator shaft: HIGH-LARIOUS!!! :woot:

So do i.... as great as Half-sack was.... if the actor wasn't comfortable in the role and wanted out.... then he shouldn't be stuck just cuz we fans want him to be there. i wish him luck with whatever he does next.

LOL! I remember that. At least with Son's, they just write you off, like Wendy. Aty least the character of Half Sack went out like a man, and should be buried with fully patched.

Thought some of you might find this interesting, from Kurts twitter...

Discussing the possibility of webisodes during the hiatus. Something to give back to the fans. No promises but were looking into it.

the question for the next season is will there be a time lapse or will it pick up right there?

I'd like to see a short time gap between the seasons.... maybe a couple of weeks or so

Well, I'm over Half-sack being dead. Hurry up with season 3. :o

I wonder what Kurt is thinking about doing with the Webisodes? That really intrigues me.

I've been enjoying the Dexter webisodes. I'll be interested to see what comes of this.

It'll be pretty weird if there's a time lapse between the two seasons IMO. Given how season 2 ended, it shouldn't take more than a few hours before the action of season 3 starts up, there wouldn't be a couple of weeks of quiet time in between.

not quiet time, but things would dial down as Zobell has taken off, the whites only crowd has definitely left charming and Gemma is on the run

The Sons will need time to bury Half-Sack (Though that HAS to be done on-screen) and re-organise themselves before i can see them going after the Irish dude.... and Gemma

Golden Globes really missed the boat. Big Love instead of Son's? Booooo.....

I mentioned before that Kurt Sutter said there might be SOA Webisodes, but according to a recent Twitter post, that is not going to be happening. He did mention today is the first writers meeting for season 3.

Forgot to say that I caught the season finale. Epic ending, can't wait to see how Jax will
get his kid back.

Yeah, love to be a fly on the wall and get an idea where next season is headed.

"Sons of Anarchy" will return in September, with Holbrook making his first appearance on the series in the third episode. He has signed on for four episodes as "the father of Gemma Morrow Teller (Katey Sagal), with whom he reconnects through coincidental circumstances," according to FX.

Production for the third season of "Sons of Anarchy" begins April 23. Kurt Sutter created the series and serves as executive producer.

Holbrook earned the 1966 Best Actor Tony Award for Mark Twain Tonight!, a role he repeated on Broadway in 1977 and in 2005. He made his Broadway debut in Do You Know the Milky Way? and has appeared in After the Fall, Marco Millions, Incident at Vichy, Tartuffe, The Glass Menagerie, Man of La Mancha, The Apple Tree, I Never Sang for My Father, Does a Tiger Wear a Necktie? and An American Daughter. His screen credits include "The Sopranos," "Into the Wild," "The West Wing," "Designing Women," "All the President's Men," "Julia," "Wall Street," "The Firm," "Men of Honor" and "The Majestic."
