Sony's Peter Rabbit

Yes! I was read those growing up. Paddington was great, hopefully this will be too.

I hope they rock it, this is where fangirl mode goes into hyper drive, this **** is sacred to me. :o

That is a lot of hotness in one family flick.

And no, I am not referring to James Corden.

Go Daisy go. Debicki and Byrne are great as well.

EXCLUSIVE: The hardworking Irish actor Domhnall Gleeson has been set to play menacing farmer Mr. McGregor in Peter Rabbit, Sony’s live action/CGI adaptation of Beatrix Potter’s 150-year-old children’s book.Pic will be directed by Will Gluck, and Gleeson joins Rose Byrne in the other live-action role, while James Corden voices Peter, and Daisy Ridley and Elizabeth Debicki also provide voices. Production starts at Australia’s animated VFX studio Animal Logic in January with an eye at a April 2018 release date.

The Sydney-based studio was behind the animation in The LEGO Movie. Columbia Pictures has partnered with Peter Rabbit‘s publisher Frederick Warne & Co., part of Penguin Random House UK, for the movie, and is planning a huge worldwide licensing and merchandising campaign. Doug Belgrad exec produces through his 2.0 Entertainment banner, with Gluck producing through his Olive Bridge Entertainment with Animal Logic’s Zareh Nalbandian. Jason Lust and Olive Bridge’s Jodi Hildebrand are also exec veeps. Rob Lieber wrote the script with revisions by Gluck.

Gleeson, who last year starred in an enviable quartet of films — Ex Machina, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, The Revenant and Brooklyn — adds Peter Rabbit to several upcoming films that include the untitled Darren Aronofsky project, playing the title character in the untitled A.A. Milne drama that Simon Curtis is directing, and reprising in Star Wars: Episode VIII. He’s repped by Paradigm and Dublin-based The Agency.

I'm so tired of the "You think you know ____? Well think again!" cliche tagline. It's Peter ****ing Rabbit. Unless the movie opens with him shooting up black tar heroin, we know damn well who he is. :o

Maybe they're doing a mashup with Peter Rabbit meeting Br'er Rabbit...

Yup. It's like saying 'This ain't yo grandma's Peter Rabbit'. Maybe the marketing director is just a jaded Gen Xer who helped create 'xXx'. This aint yo mama's James Bond!

Anytime a film goes for that, it is destined to fail. Like saying 'This (Film) will be the next Star Wars." Automatic failure.

The Last Jedi could actually use that tagline and not have it be false.

Trailer.

And so Sony continues to put out complete and utter crap.

Animation looks decent though. That's the only positive I'll give it.

My childhood, noooooooo!

Sony, you bastards! How could you?

Beatrix Potter is turning in her grave like a rotisserie chicken.

Today is the end of the animals. The end of a rabbit that acquiesces to disorder.

What is this?!

I thought after The Emoji Movie, Sony would start coming to their senses...

When that Portugal The Man song came out I said, man this is pretty catchy. Now I'm sick of it.

this looks legit awful, it feels like sony saw the chipmunk movies and "Ok we can do that"
