Sony Spin-Off Sony's Spider-Man Universe is now the official title for Sony's own Marvel Cinematic Universe

I was referring to Sony proper.

Also, Amy Pascal has been a key component in driving this license since she was the chair of Columbia back in 1999, whether it be live-action, joining the MCU, or animation.
True but in regards to current Sony stuff, she's only been a producer on the Venom and Spider-Verse movies. She had zero involvment with the rest of the Spidey spinoff movies.

True, not directly.

I wouldn't be surprised if she consulted in some capacity considering her close ties to Matt Tolmach and of course Avi.

I mean technically she spearheaded this whole plan to do an expanded Spider-Man Universe before she was dismissed, so I'd say she was at least partially responsible.

I would like to think they knew their movies weren't good to begin with. So they didn't dare to include Spider-Man in them, aside from the mid credits scene of Let There Be Carnage.

Having Spider-Man doing a cameo wouldn't have made Morbius any better. Same for Madam Webb or Kraven The Hunter.

Maybe make actual Spider-Man movies with Spider-Man villains, that are... you know... good? I know that is probably an old fashioned idea.

mytimetoshine (who is mostly a clown) is saying Sony is seriously considering selling the rights back to Disney

That would be one of those things where I need to see it to believe it. However, I could see them coming to terms with some sort of deal where Marvel gets a bit more involved with the IP beyond MCU Spider-Man.

I don't buy for a second that Sony is done making Spiderman character based films outside the MCU , and it sounds like the pronouncements of it's end were premature, with a bit of fan wishful thinking.

I also don't buy that Sony would be willing to give up Spiderman rights.

If they did , it would be at such a high price, that Disney wouldn't pay for it .

Maybe Elon would  .

I do think Sony is going to take a break from the Spin Offs and focus on Spiderman 4 and Beyond The Spiderverse.

But Sony always tends to come up with new wacky ideas , so , I highly doubt they've abandoned a Sinister Six film,
or another Spiderman character based film sans Peter Parker .

Well I would like it to be true. Marvel Studios already have their set of problems. Imagine when the day comes when we no longer have to worry about Sony's next Marvel film... that day would bring so much hope to me about the future.
