PS3 will have a future port of an overrated series that stars a geriatric, a game that is also on xbox360 and likely the PC, a crappy japanese adventure game complete with androgynous characters, and a game that will be hitting every piece of hardware on the planet that can run it? Wow, call Ripley, I don't believe it, that may be the best list of games that I've ever seen. Or the most hilariously bad and poorly thought out. Whichever.

If you count Twilight Princess as this gen too since it's on Wii, MGS4 can't claim the title of best game of this gen.

Zenien is a fan-lesbo, but a sensible one. Who the f**k is ******ed enough to get a Playstation 3 at launch? Not only is is rediculously expensive but the launch line-up appears to be as mediocre as the Xbox 360's launch if not worse.

At least wait for either:

a. A price drop

b. Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Final Fantasy XIII, and/or Devil May Cry 4

c. Wait until blu-ray DVD is a proven format (why spend $1,000 when you can spend $600? Plus you can play video games too!)

d. All of the above

Firmware updates are free. Unless you're talking about the 'built to order' pei in the sky stuff that would never effect the games.

EDIT: PS3 games are going to cost the same as 360 games, Atari has already confirmed this.

Just because you don't like X game, doesn't mean they are actually bad.

For instance there are people who don't like 'kiddy' Nintendo games, but there are a heck of a lot of people who do (and not 'just the kiddies'). Not liking Mario games yourself doesn't mean that they aren't products that are enjoyed by millions of other people, obviously a property or game would have to be doing something right to get people to play it.

It's just not your cup of tea, and that's fine.
