Well, having just finished the film, I definitely prefer this cut, which surprises me. The things I don't like about the film are the things that were already in the theatrical cut.
From the youtube video after spidey gets hit with the train, and he swings back it doesn't look like a smooth cut when he swings back,it looks like he just appeared out of thin air.Is it really like that on the actual dvd?
When Spider-Man gets hit by the train, we see the aftermath from Ock's prespective. Then, we see a faint movement in the background followed by the sound of Spider-Man shooting a web, then Raimi flash zooms to a medium shot of Spider-Man swinging toward Ock.
It's much smoother than it sounds. Trust me.
By the way, the disc art and the back coverart(after taking off the slipcover) are wonderful. Top notch stuff and much better than the original DVD release....
ya spidey 2 was pretty kool but i did not like it when they took out doc ock soo early!![]()
I have to agree with the other poster. I have only seen about the first 40 minutes or so.. it seems to be a much better cut. has room to breath.. with character moments and its a bit funnier too.
the PQ is so much better.. even better then the superbit version.

What's up with spidey being hit by the train and then split second later he just appears in the air swinging towards the train? That was just poor editing.

video of j jonah wearing the suit lol
Sounds like an idea for a fanedit!!To be honest, I really wish they'd go back and rework the first film again to get it up on par with the 2.1. Granted, no matter what they do, I still don't think I'll ever like that first film but I have to give the producers credit, I liked 2.1 more than I thought. I liked it so much that I'm probably going to sell off my original DVD of Spider-Man 2....
Lol, I have never even released this. I guess I was too bothered with the fact that Doc Ock could have killed Peter or Spider-Man while he should have delivered him alive to Harry. As I said in another thread, Ock could have delivered a corpse to Harry, and Harry would have been none the wiser until it was too late.
