I'm wondering if anybody even cares about these two characters in this movie?

I can't remember exactly, but the scene where Pete says "I need your help... I have to stop it" (or whatever he says)- isn't the blurred out background Harry's balcony?

Ah, I actually thought he said this to MJ (helping him to stop the effect of the suit), I never actually looked behind Pete..whoops.

Okay that does explain some more. Judging from this then Pete will have already had a confrontation with Venom, knowing he can't stop him himself asks Harry for help. Okay I like that.

Okay cool, some more of the puzzle fits into place...for me atleast.

Interesting thought: I want to be surprised when I see this film yet I can't help trying to figure out what is going to happen. WIERD.

As far as Gwen and Captain Stacy goes..well they aren't even in my thoughts. It will be fairly interesting to see Pete and her's relationship but the only reason they are going to get 'close' is to further Eddie's anger towards Pete. Captain Stacy is the man who informs Pete of Uncle Ben's actual killer, whether or not he will provide anything pivotal to the story is very unclear (although I doubt it).

yeah preety much. I mean once peter is under the influence of the symbiote then he starts to do the wrong things. after evil peter and mj's arguement, mj goes to Harry which leads up to them Kissing. which also causes evil peter to go kick the crap out of harry in the mansion. Gwen stacy and Captain stacy don't have big roles in this film but expect them to be in future spidey sequels.

Ahhhh the sequels. I dont see them having anymore Class A villains. Im pretty sure they wont use Lizard because they already use a "mentor to peter/project they were working on turm them into monsters" twice. They wont go the way of the Chameleon because we've already had one shape-shifting villain hit the big screen. Been there done that. Carnage would just be a Venom re-hash. They wouldnt be able to do him right and keep it PG -13 anyways. Vulture, Scorpion, Shocker, Rhino, Hydro-man. These guys are just also-rans. The only way they could use sandman was by tying him to Uncle Bens murder. Dont get me wrong, I love these movies. But i seriously doubt we will get anymore for a long long long time.

Maybe this is just me but I wouldn't want Sandman and Venom to team up.For the battle royal I'd love to see Spidey in the middle while everyone competes to see who will kill him.Soon Harry relizes what Peter really has meant to him and scrifaces himself to save spidey.Then I'd love to see sandman stop in his tracks before killing spidey then get beat by Venom.Then we see the final battle between Venom and spider-man with Spidey barely winning.

I know that he had Goblin and Ock on the back foot before they sealed their own doom . . . but will he ever just chin one of them and knock them out , say like in Ultimate Spidey with Venom at the end with the helicopter -- that was a good end to a good story (although quite a lacklustre game).

the thing is, Kids don't want to see spider-man killing somebody because that is not what he does. look at what happened to his uncle ben, Peter is not going to let anybody die after that. which is why he didn't kill the first two villians in the firsts two films, they killed themselves. now spidey can knock out a villian, specificly venom but if he kills somrbody then that would give spider-man a bad name and I don't mean in the films but in real life.

Exactly dude -- I don't want him to kill anyone . . . I want to watch a Spidey film, and killing people just isn't his bag . . . but it would be nice after seeing all them punches on Ock have hardly any effect, just to see him knock a 'main villain' out with a nice uppercut.

yeah that would be very cool. I don't know if he will be able to do it to venom though because venom is much stronger villian than the GG and Doc Ock, he also can give spidey the biggest fight of his life so he will defenitley need help in fighting venom.

The only villain he could possibly do that to is Harry. Punches have no effect on Sandman, and I doubt Venom could be knocked unconscious by any of Spidey's punches.

Yes Venom would not be affected by a Spidey punch and like in the comics Sandy would solidify so his jaw would feel like steel...or go soft so it just goes through him...either way.

And lookin' at how physically powerful the villains in 3 are, we should get plenty of person-shaped holes in walls and whatnot.

Still Venom battering Spidey is what I want to see. I wouldn't even care if Spidey never got a chance to properly retaliate, being soley dependent on Harry's help would be quite nice (and we would get to see non stop Venom battering Spidey action).

Anybody have any idea how Spidey's gonna defeat Venom? Harry's pumpkin bombs because of the fire? I can't think of anything loud he could use as a noise weapon in a construction yard at night, except maybe that horn from the truck in the trailer. Did the Q&A mention this anywhere, it's been so long . . .

your right about it being spidey, harry vs. venom. now the reason I don't think it would be good for sandman to come back to help is because he should just stop fighting all the way. I mean his family (in spidey3) is suppose to be more important to him than anything else in his life. if spidey and harry work as a team then Venom will ne weakened for sure. pumpkin bombs and punches can cause alot of damage towards venom.
