I hope the teaser isn't rushed. They're just into shooting. They might just have some text and the Venom symbol or something.

When the Teaser plays before the movie, Superman fans will wonder why they were cribbing about Supes' costume being "dark".

I believe that was because there was no point doing a 'Batman 89' on that film marketing wise.....people had to know that it was a new beginning. Hence, the 7 minute clip on Smallville. The trailers, the clips, the interviews, the posters....Plain and simple, the WB had faith in the project. But, even with massive marketing, I doubt it would have cleared 250 Domestically.

I mean, it was mainly 'Batman'. Just you watch how much Batman 2 blows up in terms of marketing when the Joker shows his psychotic face. The film did very well WOM, B.O., and exit polling. The DVD made even more money than the domestic intake.

I'd say, the WB won this one.....Wait till the Joker hype begins. I forsee the Batman franchise going up in the 2nd installment.

So.....word of mouth is the best marketing a movie could hope to get. In that case, BB did incredibly well considering how it opened.

I call a teaser trailer a full year before it's release, another new trailer before Ocean's 12 in December, a 3rd trailer in the Spring of '05, TV spot during the Superbowl, 10 more additional TV spots during the NCAA tournament and various top rated shows, a special release during the Smallville finale, billboards everywhere including Times Square, and multiple merchandising agreements a quality marketing campaign.
