Hey Man I'm not the definate answer giver to all Spidey games. But honestly, SM3 looks to be better than USM and SM2; but not big jump from them either. They could improve on the graphics and actually look on their official forums for fan feedback. I also think that the unlockables are going to be mediocre. I have yet to see a Spidey game that came close to the unlockables from the 616 spider-man game. I honestly want to see what Neversoft can do with a next gen Spidey game. I remember that you had some great ideas. Share some more, and hope that Treyarch atleast reads it. You never know.

lol I prereserved the game but I don't even have my 360 yet. So I don't truly know what the system can even do yet.

You guys need to get over your love-fest for this game. It is incredibly dated. Three hit combo? Swing no further than 20 feet? Terrible music. Silly as all get out cut scenes. (go fish Rhino... ) This game is terrible compared to Spider-Man 1, 2, and even ultimate Spider-man. Neversoft would do a terrible job if they got there hands on it. I'm so thankful Treyarch has had the rights for a long time. They've made three great Spider-Man games in a row. Neversoft made two terrible games. End of story. I still have the Neversoft one, I just played it. I think if more of you guys had it, you'd feel the same.

You people just "have" to agree with dacman on this one.
I mean c'mon! I know that ps1 spider-man was great "at that time" but you just gotta agree that sm1 & sm2 played alot nicer.

I for one thought that the first level of "enter electro" on the ps1 was the best level of them all because you got to free-roam in that small block

I guess you guys dont like to play old/classic games in general huh? I mean sure the overall aspects(graphics, gamplay, story, etc..) of SM1, SM2, and USM are much better than those PSone games, but those game are still are great in their own repect. I still say SM1 for PSone is the best IMO, simply for the fact its a classic game I grew up with and I still love playing it, regardless if the gameplay and graphics are dated.

Ummmmm your completely missing what I'm trying to say. If Neversoft can do what they did with the 616 Spider-Man in 2000, imagine what they can do with a next gen Spider-Man game. For what it was back then, it was innovative and set the bar for comic based games. The only huge leap that the Spidey games made from 616 were with SM2. But what saved that game was the swinging and free roam. Everything else was ok or just down right lame. What really sold me with the 616 Spider-Man game were the unlockables and what if mode. When have you seen those in any movie based Spider-Man game?

Wii has two extra villains. Morbius and Shriek. For every other station there is 10 villains. Also, I somehow found out that there will be a second addition Spiderman 3 game that lets you play as New Goblin. I'm trying to find my source at the moment.

Just because I grew up with a game doesn't make it good. I still play the Doom games. Those are still great. I grew up with Superman 64, guess what, it still sucks. I grew up with Spider-Man on the PS1, it was pretty good 7 years ago. Today, not so much.

I'll be the first to admit the unlockables were really good in the game. But, unlockables don't make the game for me. The gameplay compared to Spider-Man the movie game, is nothing but terrible, stiff, and boring. Even if you dumbed down the graphics on the Spider-Man movie game to meet the PS1 game, it still beats the snot out of it gameplay wise.
