I beat story mode yes...but I don't have the game 100% done.

I think I'm at 83%. Really, from what I hear you don't get anything when beating it.:o

I beat story mode, and and took me just a few trys to beat Sandman. I myself have about 75% done.

In your guy's opinion, if I already have Spider-Man 2 for the PS2, do I really need Spider-Man 3 for PS2? I'm not getting a PS3 for one game.

Apparently on PS2 it's REALLY bad.

Waste o' moolah. get it on next gen if you're gonna get it at all.

What if I were to get it for PC rather than PS2? Is the PC port of the 360 version better than the PS2 version?

I got it on PS2 and it has been a fun game, no problems at all.

Just this game is too damn easy.

But nothing compared to the next-gen version, and an extreme downgrade from Spider-Man 2.

I rented the PS2 version, and I don't know what you guys are smoking. I don't think I've played a more atrocious game. It's almost as if they took Spider-Man 2 for the PS2, completely changed the swinging, and decided to take all traces of any sort of human like qualities out of the movements. The movements are so static and dead looking. Watch the civilians as they run away, and watch Spider-Man crawl. The original PSX Spider-Man game had better animations that this horrid display of shoddy craftsmanship. Watch all of that next time to truly see how downgraded this is. Seeing them made me feel as though i was all the way back in 1998 watching my dad play Madden for the first time. Wow, lesson learned.

Why did they put it out for PS2 anyways?
Microsoft was smart not to put it out for Xbox. Putting a next gen game on an old console is just....... I don't know what it is.
I really think the people who are complaining about SM3 on PS2 should have known better.

Sadly I didn't know better. Until the moment I held SM3 for the Wii in my hands, I never knew another developer was responsible for the the current-gen version.

The entire time I was expecting a game like the next-gen version, except with lower graphics and a boss or two missing. Instead I got a game that wasn't even on par with Spider-Man 2.

I found another game that interests me more. lol j/k. Sorry guys, but while it had a great story, I'm disappointed with yet another (no replay vlaue) Spider-man game.

Did anyone bother finding out if Venom's unlockable with the Fragments, or did everyone collectively give up on this game at the same time?

Spiderfan, I have the PC version of the game, and unless you have a very high end video card with the good system your going to experience framerate choppiness. Try playing the game on minimum details and also fudge around with your virtual memory settings. This helped quite a bit.

If you have the money I recommend buying the 360 version as I've read this version performs better than the PC release of the game.

Well, I know this for sure. I've played it on the 360 and it's great.

I got the PS2 version on eBay, on Saturday. My game should come tomorrow. It should be fun. :woot:

Apparently so, yes.

But play it by all means....see for yourself. Although the reviews HAVE been harsh. A BIG, BIG downgrade from S-M2, they say...

I think the 360 game is better than SM2 actually.

Sure I kinda miss SM2's swinging, but this swinging system is good too.
