Mysterio is my other choice for a villain to tackle next. So many possibilities with him.

Mysterio still doesn't do much for me. It'd be interesting to see how they'd tackle him though, which direction they'd go.

They'd need a solid actor to make it work I think.

Ock should be the villain for the third film. Don't want to see Gobby until Peter's in College (same goes for Lizard).

Scorpion, Chameleon, or Kraven would be nice for the sequel with Mysterio being a villain akin to Shocker.

Spidey fought the Lizard on a fieldtrip though.

Spidey met most of his famous villains when he was in High School.

I know, but I'm saying they should take a cue from TAS with The Lizard in his next appearance. I want the whole shabang, too.

I want Curt, Martha and Billy. I want The Lizard being treated as he should aka Marvel's Wolfman. I want Connors being a prominent figure in Peter's life after The Lizard ordeal, helping Spider-Man with science-esque stuff.

We're only getting two-three high school films, so obviously some will have to wait..which by then will see either Peter being a college student or an adult.

I couldn't care less if he meets them in High School or college, just as long as they are done well. I've never been a stickler for timeline stuff like that unless it's vital to the character's story e.g. Harry shouldn't be a Goblin until AFTER Norman has been *throws evil glare at TASM 2*.

Agreed.
One of the many, many reasons that movie belongs in the garbage.

Eh, given how Harry was essentially Ultimate Eddie Brock in ASM2, I didn't mind that decision at all. Besides, casting a 60-some year old actor to be Gobby? Pfft.

Agreed! It'd be a bit nitpicky imo if you let that stuff get to you. But agreed on stuff like Carnage before Venom, etc.

I hope we get a Mysterio + Chameleon combo in the future.
Well hey it looks like we have a Vulture and Shocker team in this so that could happen!

Chameleon could work using the technology Black Widow used at the end of The Winter Soldier.

Chameleon sucks. IMO, one of the most boring Spidey villains ever. I agree with Joker in that I'd like to see Ock again. Maybe cap off the trilogy with him?

Chameleon could-and-would work overall. Most don't want him if there's Mysterio to use but they're not even remotely the same. That said, they could compliment each other in a film together.

I know if it was me last year, Spidey would've been Team Cap to purposely make him a vigilante/fugitive which would've been a nice gateway to the Bugle's reintroduction and using Chameleon as a way to mess him with further in the first film. Regardless, I'm oh-so happy with Vulture and Shocker.

Chameleon is definitely way down on my list of Spidey villains I want to see, but, luckily I don't see Marvel using him.

Not one Spider-Man villain sucks to me. They all have their place and they all should be considered for the big screen.

Even the very minor ones like Big Wheel and White Rabbit should be considered for a fun montage of Spidey catching criminals, similar to what Raimi had in mind for Spider-Man 4 with Mysterio and others.

Agree with you guys. Chameleon worked well in TSSM. More of that villain that isn't impacting Spidey in an Ock, Goblin, or even Vulture kind of way, but more as a device to get an upper hand on Spidey to reach their goal. Team up with someone would work best but I wouldn't have too much excitement if he was gonna pop up.

I do like the idea of a montage of Spidey taking out C-listers. But it'd be lame to see any of them as a main villain (Chameleon included)

Maybe Sony can loan Chameleon out to another Marvel film. Like, Ant-Man & The Wasp or A Widow solo film.

Tom already mentioned they were deciding on which villain(s) to use in the sequel a while back, so I wonder if they've decided on one yet.

This was almost two months ago..

My next project, I can't tell you about, but we've just finished Spider-Man and we're talking about the second one and who the villain is going to be and where we're going.

Except Chameleon is a main villain originally, so..

Besides, I don't need to always have epic villains all the time (which is exactly why I was wanting Vulture) and Chameleon makes for a fun, mystery villain that I would've been more than fine with. Nobody else really shares that opinion but what else is new? Also:

Chameleon sucks. IMO, one of the most boring Spidey villains ever.

That can easily be applied to Vulture, as it has been by JOE, The Overlord and many others around here and yet look, everyone's eating up Vulture suddenly. :funny:

In fact, that can be applied to anyone if you look at their design or read one story with 'em and come to a conclusion based off of it.

What makes it okay for Chameleon to be a villain for 'em but not Spidey? Surely people who don't like Chameleon wouldn't want him appearing in other characters' films. Just as weird as Mysterio being in Daredevil, wanting to break his mind. :loco:
