WOM is what brought Wonder Woman her success, hoping the same happens for Spidey.

Kane, you've done it again you beautiful human being...

Tom has a Queens accent, he nailed it perfectly imo.

Pascal once again states that Homecoming is in the same world as Venom & Silver/Black :woot: Also Kevin is open to re-using past villains. So at least that's something for me to look foward to in the future regarding this series

except she also debunked that as did Fiege. and even admitted basically that she doesn't know what she's talking about

I am still thinking a Holland cameo in Venom may still happen. My bet is the intention is for the 3rd Homecoming film to be Sinister Six, hence all these forced spin offs like Silver & Black. At least, that is what I think Sony's play/goal is. Remember, under the current structure, Holland's contract for MCU ends after Homecoming 2 unless an extension is agreed upon. Opens the window for Sony to use him in their own sequel to Homecoming 2 using their Sinister Six

Fiege compared Homecoming 2 (even though it wont be that title) to be akin to Civil War.. so... i wouldn't be shocked if the Sin Six show up in the sequel...

but things arn't looking great for the sony-verse to connect to the MCU at all at the moment.. contrary to what things are uploaded.

infact.. half of sony's solo properties only really work imo.. if they're set a handful of years in the future after a established adult spider-man has been around (and absence explained)

the flimsy theory about peter also getting the symbiote suit in Infinity war was also debunked by tom.. so things really arn't adding up to appear that way

Tom is just wanting (and or agreeing) to everything... he has no say in the films stories really...

lol this is true.. she self described herself as a moron who talks to much.. no one should listen to anything that comes out of her mouth imo

Good to know that execs earning 6/7/8 figures a year don't need to have a clue what they're talking about!

I know this is silly, but I have to say it. If the kid in Iron Man 2 (Jon Favreau's son Max) is Peter Parker in that movie, does that mean Tom Holland is technically a recast Peter Parker / Spider-man within the MCU?

We shall see how it all plays out. I agree Venom would need to be a flash forward, but the other spin-offs don't have to. Spider-Man just fought some guys off screen. As for Venom, symbiote in IW, and Holland in the spin-offs, it is wait and see. But, Pascal keeps saying Feige made these like chapters in a book you need to watch all of. The best connecting tissue they have is the Sinister Six/Master Planner. You don't think Sony wants their giant mega event like Avengers? Right now, Homecoming 2 ending their Marvel partnership and Holland still having a movie left lines up with this possibility.

I thought the partnership was 3 movies... ? Fiege, Holland, and Pascal keep saying 3, 3 , 3

but that being said.. again i wouldn't read into anything Pascal says at all.. she's proven she talks without thinking.

sony is likely pulling a "incredible hulk" with their franchise... in that while they might not be able to include MCU references, they will vaguely make it appear like its the same universe. Much like how there's elements of the incredible hulk that seem oddly connective to Ang Lee's Hulk

the Black and Silver movie couldn't be more of a money grab and a terrible idea if Sony tried.. and rumors surrounding it indicate Norman and Kraven may show up there (amongst many other villains) And without an adult spider-man.. Black Cat will be a very poor representation of her character.. i have no doubt of that in my mind.

Well if what you are suggesting was to come true then the symbiote would be introduced in Infinity war and lead into the Venom Movie, which would make sense. However, that means that Kevin Feige would have to be willing to help Sony with introducing a character that becomes Venom and he has said the MCU has no connection with that movie, and to me that would be a major connection. So, don't think it will happen as much as it is a good idea.

I know the article you're referring to, and no he didn't. He said HC2 would be influenced by Avengers4 in a similar way that HC has been influenced by CW. Whoever wrote that article picked a completely incorrect headline, basically a real life Tim Messenger (Hot Fuzz).

that makes far more sense.. thank god.. there's been some questionable choices with this film as is.. so i wouldn't be shocked if suddenly pushed the sin six...

I do find it odd that Keaton is only signed on to one film though... that right there likely means they may not be planning the sin six, at least not with vulture

I don't think anyone knows for sure, but what seems to be known is that Holland has said he is contracted to do 3 Spider-Man movies, as well as 3 MCU movies. However, when talking to Kevin Feige he mentions that Tom is signed to do the 3 MCU movies and 2 Spider-man movies with them. Therefore, fan speculation is that Sony has the contract for the 3rd Spider-Man film with Tom Holland and that Marvel is not part of it. Many speculate that if things go well with the 2 individual Spider-man Movies that Sony will continue with their contracting of Marvel to do the Creative work for Spider-man 3 and beyond. However, other people speculate that Sony is using Marvel as a launching point to start their own Spiderverse that is connected to the MCU through Spider-man Homecoming and the sequel, using Spin Offs and then eventually culminating into a bigger Spider-man 3 with like a Sinister Six match up, making it feel more like an Avengers movie. Except instead of Hero's coming together it would be Villains coming together. Hope that explains it.

makes sense. but i'm skeptical about all of it... sony lost my trust as a studio a while ago... it's going to take alot for me to be convinced they're intelligent and actually care about the property

I feel you, and I hope that if the Spin Off's do end up being connected to the MCU that Feige and Marvel see this as something that could damage the world they have worked so hard to build. They should make attempts to help Sony with the movies whenever possible. Sure maybe Marvel is not in the pilot seat for Creative control like they are for Home Coming, but I sure would like to know they are involved with making sure that Sony is heading in the right direction.

Reminds me of Arrested development LOL one of the characters in that show literally stumbles into being a producer on a film and no one even questions her.

Really looking forward to see how the film will feel and I mean - the overall aesthetic and visual look of the film. It is interesting to observe a more grounded approach as so far Phase 3 has been:

1. Civil War - the airport battle, the chase sequences and almost every Avenger present - a grand and epic feel.
2. Dr. Strange - the magic aspect combined with those trippy visuals made the film look very unique and crazy at the same time. Dormammu made the world feel grand.
3. GOTG Vol.2 - a completely bonkers world with space battles, Ego the Living Planet and unique creatures and planets.

And here we go - Homecoming. A much smaller and grounded approach, compared to all of these. In terms of visuals and scale too.

Really interested to see how it plays out in the overall context of Phase 3.

What do you think?
