I think some of you are underestimating Marvel here

they're not gonna take inspiration from some kids cartoon on the disney channel just because it's disney. They're gonna put out the best movie possible like they do with all their other movies.

And if that's so.. this reboot is already dead to me. The show is terrible and easily the worse representation of his character outside of the live action Japan show.

That's not spider-man to me. And I don't see older spidey fans taking kindly to that kind of change
Nah...Supaidaman is at least funny even if not on purpose, plus he has a freaking Megazord, don't know about you but that gives him a +1 from me

No worries, man.

Probably gonna go classic Toomes to have that fun "Young vs. Old" dynamic that has been featured in many different JH films, such as Bueller vs. Rooney. Well, that and it'd fit well with the MCU as many have brought up in regards to Falcon.
Yeah. best to go with classic Vulture where there is that JH-esque "Young Vs Old" Dynamic.

That would make me sold on Vulture as the villain if done like classic comics Vulture too.

May I ask what makes you think that?

There's just small similarities that are adding up... I was never fond of the hs angle for a franchise (I prefer his college years) young aunt may, more diverse cast, the title treatment seems very cartoony to me especially when mixed with the Homecoming font, the fact not just 1, but 4 mcu heroes will apparently show up, if vulture isn't bald and over 40 I'm going to be really ticked.

I don't mind the title at all if it's indeed based on a Spider-Man story arc of the same name. At least then it has meaning, no matter how it sounds.

Now I have to do some research on this story arc.

The double meaning is great. Not only does it tell us that Spidey's come home, but it gives off a very high-school, John Hughes sort of feel. I love it.

No, they'd probably take inspiration from said cartoon because it makes them money and it's popular. TASM series did the same thing in regards to SSM, and even the Raimi series had little bits from the TAS.

It's how much inspiration they take from it that will truly be the difference maker.

Bingo!

I hope they don't take any inspiration whatsoever. It's a garbage show, and the showmakers attitude towards fans makes it even worse. From the looks of it, this Spidey is going to be 90% Classic Spidey. At least from a superficial standpoint.

But there have clearly been younger Aunt May's before Ultimate and the Cartoon, Spidey always had a somewhat diverse cast and question, when was it confirmed that there were to be 4 MCU heroes?

At the moment we have no reason to worry as long as Marvel is calling the shots.
Making this movie like USM because it's popular at the moment would be a real Rothman move though, that's for sure.

Definitely getting a moment where Peter wants to go to the school dance (perhaps even has plans) and his alter-ego gets in the way. :hehe:

Unfortunately that's where the genera audience, most who still don't grasp spidey/xmen/F4 arnt marvel studios properties, will think that's what the film is about. It's a very risky move imo the charm of the title is the double meaning.. but a lot of people won't get that

No one's bothered by the fact
May and Peter don't have a house? That kinda bums me out. The parker home has always been such a big deal in the comics... kinda sad it won't be in this incarnation.

Not really. It's more realistic that a single parent household in New York would be living in an apartment. Also drives home the financial troubles that Peter and May have.

The title is alright, and if they do go with Vulture, I hope they somehow connect him to Falcon's wing technology.

Bingo!
Except SSM/TAS were both amazing shows and USM is a horrible show. Take inspiration from what's good not bad.

Hopefully.

Falcons wings being made by toomey would be great

I'm actually glad they went with this title for the sole reason of that it was completely unexpected. Well, it would have been if it weren't for the domain leak. It's typical of Marvel striving for much more than we expect.

... they make that kid show..... and decided to do it that way... marvel literally decided the way they did that show is a good idea... and that is? It's terrifying.

I'm not disputing what's good and what's not.

I'm just saying there will be some USM elements in this new series based on the fact that it's profitable and popular. All merchandise you see in regards to Spider-Man is USM nowadays. Add in the fact the series' ratings have been quite good and the demographic (kids) is working and it just makes logical sense.

As I said though, the difference maker will be how much inspiration is involved in regards to it.

And unfortunately he's with sony...ugh I thought his days ruining my comic movies were over

People are praising Spider-Man left and right and that doesn't come from granted.

Trust me, if there's ONE studio in Hollywood that you can trust to your superhero fix, that's Marvel Studios. They know what they are doing, there's absolutely nothing to be worried about, and soon we'll be able to watch his first appearance in the MCU and I couldn't be more pumped about it. :woot:

No one really questioned it before... why does it have to be more than? I mean I thought the amazing house was great, the raimi house yeah.. was too big for a broke family.. but I felt the amazing one made sense.

Just seems like an unnecessary change to me
