I don't think anyone, other than you harry, really expected Stark to "take over" the Spidey film......lol.

Now, it is a legit concern to question just how much Stark's "mentor" role will "affect" Peter's character and story. If Stark helps relieve Peter of his financial worries or helps him too much with tech and gadgets, then that does change Peter's story to some extent because it does take away from his "everyman" quality.

I think Stark will be responsible for Michelle's transformation. He will give her makeover, fashion, socialising and catchphrase tips to become the MJ everyone knows by the end of the movie.
