Haunted by his actions, Peter fled home into the waiting arms of Mary Jane.
But WHAT IF…Peter never went home? WHAT IF…the Spider never came out of the cold?

LOL. Marvel Adventures sounds hilarious. Venom as a side kick!!!

WIN!!!!

Oh yeah. It's a good book, but i doubt i'll continue with it if/when Spidey leaves...

Aloha,
Just like Marvel Team Up v2 &v3. I followed them for a while, but lost interest after Spidey left.

I'm not talking about Jackpot, I'm talking about the tone of those solicits; sounds like 60's and 70's era comics. One More Day will probably suck, but Brand New Day sounds like a breath of fresh air for the Spidey books.

My theory on Jackpot: MJ receiving powers is part of whatever deal Peter makes. Regardless of what happens to May, Peter knows that her predicament was a result of her being close to Peter. In order to make sure that doesn't happen again, he has Loki/Mephisto/whoever empower MJ so that she can actually fight back if she's ever targeted by one of Peter's enemies.

I think when fans ask for classic spidey, they want well written stories, not classic sounding solicits.

Ok, I know it's not Spidey-Related, but how did Reed create the Universe?

Also, i think I'm gonna get Marvel Adventures 35, it sounds way too funny not to get....

Actually, Mavel Adventures Spider-Man has been pretty good in the past few months. Peter David has been writing... but Jan. has someone different.

It seems obvious to me what is going to happen.

The big thing about MJ at first was that Peter was constantly trying to get out of being set up with her.

Somehow Peter will go back in time and change things so that he continued to avoid that first date and thus instead of hitting the Jackpot he will miss it entirely.

Thus the gag of the first issues of Spider-Man has continued with Peter still avoiding meeting this girl May wants so desperately to set him up with.

As for MJ becomeing a superhero well knowing who Spider-Man really is and watching what he has done may have inspired her.

So we've got two people who were suposed to be together but didn't.

Now they are meeting for the "first" time and they feel a strange spark.

It's obvious that they'er only getting rid of the marriage to amp up the soap opera romance.

Married couples can sell but not as well as star crossed lovers who just can't seem to get together.

Peter Parker and Mary Jane will end up back together. But the road back to eachother is going to sell alot of comics.

You know what though? I saw on ytube Bendis stating that Spidey is staying on NA.

To be honest, there's no way that the current Marvel guys are going to NOT have Spidey and Wolvie on NA. It would be a bad business move as they are Marvel's big 2.

Besides, the team dynamic and the concept of NA rocks

MARVEL ADVENTURES SPIDER-MAN #35
Written by FRED VAN LENTE
Penciled by CORY HAMSCHER
Cover by PATRICK SCHERBERGER
Venom is back ...but says he wants to bury the hatchet with Spider-Man. No, not in his head. In fact, in order to show Spidey how much he's reformed, he wants to become the web-spinner's official sidekick. But one night "on patrol" with a homicidal maniac as a partner has Spidey wanting to hang up the web-shooters himself!

Looks a bit hardcore for aan all ages book:huh:

Is this book any good? I never picked it up as I always assumed it's aimed at kids... But I have noticed the Marvel Adventures line getting bigger and bigger

Personally I think that image is pretty silly and comical, thus suiting the younger audience.

Wha? A what if? for a story that old? Awesome.

Spidey's face looks funny, and the entire composition, but Venom's proportions are pretty grotesque.

It looks funny in an Evil Dead 2/Army of Darkness kinda way.

This seems more teenagerish to me, not quite what I expected from what I thought the book was....

Yeah, it is a bit creepy, but also, I think equally hammy looking.
I'd say more AoD than Evil Dead 2.

Wow...

If Jackpot is MJ... *drool*

I'm liking the New Avengers artist, too! Can't wait for 08!

I guess somebody has to like that outfit...then again, maybe Spidey can hook up with her, and they can get married...oh wait....:whatever:

As for the New Avengers artist, he was the artist on "Young Avengers"...which was GREAT BOOK. Definitely worth checking out. In fact, it's supposed to start back up soon.

Well I think we can all agree on the fact that OMD is sucking so far. The delays to the storyline have only made it that much harder for me to get into it. However, "Brand New Day" sounds pretty damn good. Jackpot has me interested and the teams that are working on the titles are some of my fav writers/artists. I can't deny that I'm excited for the story. Hopefully Marvel does what a majority of the fans want and keep the marriage going. I doubt that's whats going to happen though. As sad as it is to say, all signs are pointing in the direction of a single Peter Parker. God, it will suck so bad if thats the case.

Ultimate Spider-man sounds good as usual though.
