I wonder if May's still around or not. Depending on how things go, there could be a lot to deal with, especially if she is still there.

While Cap was in the first film, I would not mind seeing him in a more active role at some point [IF he survives A4].

Dr.Strange if Mysterio is the villain, maybe Peter visits Strange and jokes with him asking for advice.

Other than Strange I prefer Parker works alone in this movie.

I can see the villain either being Mysterio as the big bad or it could end up being Kraven The Hunter; my money is on Mysterio but then who could Marvel get to play him?

Kraven would make a good villain but if i had to guess id say Mysterio too. but thats only because i could see Kraven being in a spin off.

While i don't see Mysterio being spin off material.

I honestly don't think they are going to be able to do that much longer. He's already 22, and he's going to start looking more mature very soon.

Set it in high school for the next film... but for the 3rd, Spiderman has got to go to college or get a job outside of school.

If they want him in high school for 3 movies, they may have to rush the third one. He is no doubt 17 in the next one and a JR. The 3rd film would have to be a year away so he can be a Senior.

Now if they want him in school and educational level does not matter then the 3rd one he can be a Freshman in college.

The idea is that they want a trilogy in high school. Something the past series haven’t done before. There’s a quote from Watts saying that specifically (not the past series thing but every thing else). Feige, too. I wouldn’t expect any major changes in terms of that.

.... Just saying, a lot of filling out can happen between the ages of 21-28. Holland could very well look like a mature dude in movie 3, and I don't know why Marvel needs to take that risk. The reward of breaking the high school-trilogy record doesn't really seem worth it IMO.

I mean, it’s also just a very specific story arc. A trilogy in high school shows growth (a very specific one), and I think not having it complete sort of defeats the purpose of that aimed storytelling of this whole series. I get it—he could look “old” and whatnot but we’re also talking that he wouldn’t even be Tobey’s or Andrew’s age by the time shooting for the threequel starts. I know Watts has gone out and said that he wants a trilogy for a very specific reason—to study the growth of becoming a superhero, rather than just skipping forward like the previous series where he just sort of becomes it and is glanced over.

Side question—did you really think Peter/Tom seemed OLD in INFINITY WAR? Yeah, he’s growing but it was as if a year had only passed between HOMECOMING and INFINITY WAR. Still had that boyish quality, etc.

I don't see why you can't have a coming of age story where Peter goes to college. I guess it'd be cool if it was a high school trilogy.. but I don't think it's necessary to tell the story of Peter growing into a superhero.

He definitely kept that boyish quality in IW.

High school aged males can have growth spurts. A friend of mine was about 5'6" in 9th grade and looked like a baby... in 10th grade he was 5'10" and looked like he aged a few years.

I would like them too, then again Scorpion is also possible since they did set him up. Mac can at least have a bigger role being a side villain.
