Far From Home Spider-Man Sequel General Discussion and Speculation

Of all villains that have never been in a movie, Mysterio was like, at the top of my list. Not just for Spider-Man villains, for ALL villains.

We wanted him for Norman but I can't see Jake doing a multi picture deal like that

Interestingly enough if he is Mysterio, he almost has to come back for when they'd do Sinister Six so we could at least get two films out of him.

So if I had to guess for an MCU Sinister Six it would be

- Vulture (introduced in homecoming)
- Scorpion (introduced in homecoming)
- Shocker (introduced in homecoming)
- Chameleon (tech introduced in Winter Soldier and hinted at in homecoming with identity theft related ads)
- Mysterio (for the sequel)
- Kraven (one of Tom's favorites, was going to be included in the Webb S6, rumors about his own movie, one of the few major Spidey villains not used yet, one of the original S6)

And none of these have been in the Raimi and Webb films (not counting Bruce Campbell potentially being Quintin Beck)

This a fantastic casting, Sony really know how to get some absolutely brilliant actors for the villains in their Spidey movies. Gyllenhaal as Mysterio will be interesting for sure, so happy Mysterio will be headlining.

Also Keaton returning? Wonder to what extent, must just be a cameo. Either way that's awesome.

Well this is certainly great news. I can't wait, Mysterio has always been one of my favorites and given that his power set is special effects it always seemed like a no brainer to use him.

Seeing as thats what Sony was aiming for before, its not really surprising that they'd work towards that with the MCU.

I even speculated myself that the Sinister Six would probably be reworked for the MCU when Marvel and Sony first made the deal.

The biggest takeaways from this article IMO is that it reveals that new male and female leads are being sought after. I wonder.... maybe Miles Morales and Gwen Stacey?
