Spider-Man's humor

There aren't many moments in Raimi's movies where added humor or quipping wouldn't have felt out-of-place or inappropriate.

The humor in Raimi's movies was anything but subtle. It was over the top and in your face most of the time. Spider-Man's humor, when it was there, was more subtle.

After revisiting, I think a lot of the time it makes it a bit uncomfortable viewing! Maybe it's just because I've been rewatching ten years on.

There was definite Spider-man humor, but I never felt like it was ingrained in his personality. The new Spidey didn't get it right either.
