Spiderman 2.5????

Hey all,

A long time ago Raimi said in an interview that Sony was throwing a bunch of money at him to add several fight scenes and some other CGI work to Spiderman 2. Amazon.com even had it up as an item (you couldn't order it yet). Has anyone, anywhere heard anything about this? I have a feeling that if it appears it'll come out next spring in time for S3, but I was just curious.

There used to be a thread on this but its not there anymore. I guess it was discarded when they "cleaned" the site up a few weeks ago.

I recall Raimi saying there will be a tad (but just a tad) more action, including Ock and Spidey smashing thru a water tower before landing on the train.
