There is actually. Confessions of a Superhero is a 2007 documentary about the superhero impersonators in Hollywood. I believe it mostly follows a guy who plays Superman on Hollywood Boulevard.

they do it for the money, in Vegas tons of homeless dress up as characters and people thinks the casino has something to do about it while they leave tips and pose with them
