Spider-Man definetly acted more like the character from the comics in the third movie. Basically, he talked more. Secondly, he had the playful attitude, especially when he was given the key to the city. And when he told the Sandman, "I'm the sheriff," - that's perfect Spidey.

"I'm the sheriff" was terrible... he also should have done more with that Sandman/truck quip.... "Uh oooooohhh" was sad.... he should've went more Chris Tucker and said something like... "Okaaaaaaay... why don't you take the money and just pretend I am not even here"... ofcourse in a funny Tucker like tone... not saying he should pretend to be black... but you get it... Tobey just isn't that funny and it showed

Really? I thought Tobey in the dancing montage than Tucker was in his last three movies.

Anyway, he did have a more casual, playful attitude and I think Maguire is just more comfortable in the role this go round.

I agree

Tobey did have some of the Tucker edge with the dancing... but everyone laughed b/c it was stupid... he didn't have IT... and the bridge scene was a joke... cmon you don't sob like a baby.... who the heck wrote that garbage... anyone... I thought the comedy was still lacking despite the goods from Cambell and Emo at times

I agree on the original post. I thought exactly the same during the Spider-Man day and all the things he did before kissing Gwen.

D!

Very true. One of the reasons i actually love this one. Yes, they clunked on some stuff. But other things topped the first two films. So the scales balanced out for me.

I really hope if Tobey does more (And after this one I hope he does) he brings some of the cockiness from this film to them. In the overall I feel this film is when he really hit his stride as Peter and Spidey- enough so that he took chances that he didn't in 1 & 2.

Absolutely. This is the first film that has actually captures the character of the title character-!

Took the words right out of my mouth.

You could tell that Tobey really felt comfortable with the role this time around. Damn I really hope he sticks around for another movie.

Agreed. i loved this Spider-Man personality the best out of all 3 films. particularly darksuit Spidey attitude :D fun!

I was thinking the exact same thing. When Spidey goes "Maybe you haven't heard...I'm the sheriff around these parts", that's classic cocky Spider-Man, which was nice to see and definitely one area where this movie improved on the ones before it. Strange that Peter Parker, on the other hand, is more of a naive nerd than ever.

"It's diffusion, when the soundwaves propagate" - something along them lines lol :woot:

Oh the heavens... I hated is Parker more than ever. His Spidey definitely improved, but he totally turned into a mega nerd. If he shows off his intelligents fine, but all the other time he was simply embarassing. And it was the worst when he turned evil Parker. He turned inta an embarassing mega nerd times 10. Damn Raimi, did we really need to see him dancing through the streets like an idiot?

I think it was perfect. I mean, Peter is a nerd, so he doesn't know what's cool and the Symbiote sure as hell didn't either, so Peter just did what he thought was cool today and it wasn't. :)

i gree,he was spidey in #3 And pete dancing was to show, with the symbiote,he doesnt give a **** about anything(ie. dancing in the street and people looking at him, looking at girls walking down the street, smashing brock into the frame with everyone there etc)

This was pretty much my understanding of it. You don't automatically turn "cool" just because you've turned more aggressive, confident, and arrogant/self-absorbed.

Dancing like an idiot is what the symbiote does to you. It makes you want to dance, dance!

I agree, he was much more the like Spider-Man from the comics. Which is great. Can't wait to see it again.

This is one of the reasons why I love sm3...it felt more like spidey from the comics. In the armoured truck, did anyone actually here that little chuckle spidey made after sandman told him he didn't want to hurt him. He chuckled and then proceeded to say, h's the sherrif or wht ever he said. Spidey even moved more like spidey from the comics too....this movie felt so right.

I'm completely baffled as to why people love sm1 and 2 so much (they are garbage) but then think the best of the 3 moviesis lame? Heh, opinions are weird.

I still love Spidey 1 and 2, but IMO Raimi got a lot more right than he did wrong on this movie and I'm with Mr. 7000+ on this one am baffled that so many people seem to think this one is the worst of the movies.

one of the best quips is when peter and harry are fighting in the mansion and peter throws harry through the window and harry say's something about always protecting him in highschool but now i'm gonna kick your a$$, and peter sarcastically goes 'OOOoo"...that was great, along with"Aww, look at goblin jr., gonna cry!"...that was great!
