Thanx Sean.

Usin' that same same "webbing as a graph" method, you can see there's some differences in the spider on the chest between the 2nd and 3rd movie too...

they are always going to make changes. costume looks awesome as always though.

I wanted to make a new thread but figured it's not THAT important. But I have a new theory. I think Spidey's costume fades to black throughout the movie and if we see venom he won't have the webbing because by that time it will have faded to full black.

Notice how people were discussing the released photos of Spider-man. In some shots the blue part of the costume is clearly blue. In others, even in light, it is darker. And in even others still it gets to a point where it's black?

Seeing that gradual change and then taking into account the photo of the black and white spider-man costume. I think the symbiote won't take control of him right away, but will slowly absorb his powers. Slowly tainting him, and then when it's(the original costume) fully black it'll be that picture we saw. Then when the webbing fades, it'll begin to look more like classic venom.

Just my hypothesis.

I like the idea of the symbiote taking over his costume gradually, but I don't think that's the case here. If you look at the pictures where his arm looks black, you'll notice the black color stops right at the seam. That would look a little odd if they were doing the whole "slow symbiote takeover" thing. When SM1 came out, they talked about how the fabric of the costume is made up of several different layers which causes the colors to look different depending on the lighting and the angle. It's especially visible in SM2, where the blue often looked black. I think that's what we're seeing here.

Can someone post pictures of spider-man 1, 2, 3 ? To show these costume differences?

the lenses look different to me, closer maybe,. i dont really like the eyes in some shots.
they should have made them a little bit bigger, so when his costume is black it would look more alien when the symbiot copys it.

If you watch the movie a few pages back, Spidey is doing a "test spin" then you can see a crew member putting on the Eye lenses.
Then he is off for the shooting swinging again.

But im sure they can add the lenses digitally later if they chose to shoot whitout for some reason.

I see no changes between the SM2 and SM3 suit.

The spiders on the suit are different.
Bars are visible on the blue parts of the suit.

Thats about it though.
Nothing major.

I hope they are just little modifications there. Not dramatic, like purple instead of blue or anything.

What about the black underneath his arm that people keep talking about. Anybody else see it? Sometimes it looks black sometimes it looks like a dark blue but I definitely see a difference. Any oppinions?

I think they are going to Buff up the black costume... Man, I love the post another member put up... He made a better Black Costume then the Spiderman crew did! I mean damn. I was in love with that. I dont think you guys remember do you?

you mean the bad manip that didn't even bother to draw the white spider properly so that it joins up with the bak one....

i know what costume you are talking about. i was also totally in love with that costume too. wish Sony would consider it and make the costume the way it should be done.

I think the costume looks pretty good, like the S-M2 one.I don't think there's much room left for improvement over the last costume.:spidey:

did they change the back of his costume? is that different?

just 3 more months...and we will have the glorious teaser trailer...just 3 more months...

Any color changes you can chalk up to images not representing the final color, lighting, and of course mods done to the suits to do stunts.
