Hi, guys. I've been a member for what seems like forever here and I didn't make a thread to just post any of the stuff I do yet. I draw a lot, it's what I'm studying in college because it's what I enjoy doing. One thing I work on when I don't have any other projects going on is a superhero book called Infinite Wonders. Just for fun to stretch the brain a little bit. Here's a few pinup pieces done in between working on the 2nd issue. The books'll be released online to read for free. Eventually.

Other things I do... I've done some work for my friend's production company. They've made some very cool short films in the past. There's a lot of growth that I think shows, the latest step was doing the first feature length project this year.

That was just released, titled Timespace. I was production designer on that and it was a very cool process to try and work from the beginning where there was just the script and trying to visualize that stuff from the ground up. Then begin taking it into the real world, designing the looks of the characters and the sets and props and whatnot.

Here's some teaser art and one other piece I did for the film. There's more stuff that hasn't been released yet and I'll have to post those when I can.

Go ahead and browse around my DeviantArt gallery while we're at it, hopefully you enjoy some of the stuff there.

I've also got a blog full of rambling I recently started, so you can follow those thoughts there. Hopefully they might be interesting. I have stuff to talk about that I haven't yet! :oldrazz:

Heck, here's a link to where you can watch Timespace as well. It's not free to watch like the short films from them (here!) but it is most definitely worth either the rental or the purchase. Script is great, score is great, good stuff! So if you'd like to check it out, please do!

    Anyway, thanks for looking.

More stuff to share, a few Timespace related things. Pieces of some of the characters, they were done for several contributors who donated a lot to the film.

    Another Infinite Wonders pinup. Pogo-A-Go-Go!

Lengthy blog post on creating the time machine for Timespace. This is the first of what will be a few talking about in detail about working on the movie and my reasoning for things.

Also did a fun experiment with wire and clay that I'll post soon, didn't ever really try making something like it before so I was pretty pleasantly surprised with the product!

I hope it's okay that I'm making 3 posts in a row here, but I wanted to share this thing I just made yesterday. Never made any sculptures with wire and clay before, so here's a little Infinite statuette. He's just over 8 inches tall and plops in and out of that mucky base easily.

    Neat, thanks!!

Some new Infinite Wonders pieces. Save the sheep, save the sleep.
And this one isn't quite 99 red balloons.

One of two wire sculptures I did recently, playing with the idea of closure in a way that tried to capture motion and coming to an out of control stopping point.

A wacked out print. Lots o' frustration I took out on that one, haha!

Also, another long new blog post on Timespace here with plenty more little sketches and whatnot.

Just a few more new things. Did another one of those statuette figures for Infinite Wonders, this one's of the big guy called Mr. Wonder.

Here's a pic of the two guys standing together, supposed to look like that pinup I did with them both like this.

Third and final blog post reflecting on Timespace here on my blog. Please give it a read, it's a bunch of craziness. http://nickcagnetti.blogspot.com/2014/09/finding-time-and-space-part-3-of-3.html

A few concept pieces from months ago, haven't posted these anywhere yet.

Something Spider-Man for this thread. Nothing Spider-Man in here yet. Spider-Man 2.

    And then there's this nonsense.

I really love the look of your technique. What mediums are you using for all these? Mostly watercolors?

Thanks- yeah, these are mostly watercolor pieces. I've come to enjoy using that a lot. It's weird because there's bigger chance of screw-up so it calls for actively thinking about it as you go, but I like that. Sometimes I do washes of India ink, that's another pretty finicky thing I enjoy putting into stuff I do. Some of the stuff like the 1st Timespace poster was acrylic. That one Iron Man thing up top was colored digitally in Photoshop, and so were these older ones below as well. I'm not as big a fan of working that way, but I try to keep taking stabs at different things.

A few more things. Spirit of The Shadows. It's another project aside from Infinite Wonders, waiting on the script. Went and tweaked the design slightly from what I did a month or so ago. Quick digital coloring.

Here's a print. It's been interpreted in several ways, lol. One being about insomnia or plain lack of sleep, with this feint blot on ourselves becoming more apparent as we work through the night and time meshes into day- we have this scratching at us underneath. Another way I've heard it, is that if it's upside down it could be the idea of man becoming a fetus and falling into this pool of life that disperses all around.

And from a few months ago, this Elsa for the funs. Tried to get an E shape going.

NEWS!! The first issue of Infinite Wonders will be released online free to read- Wednesday, October 8th. The issue has just been sitting around for nearly a year now but I got so busy with other projects that Infinite Wonders just patiently waited... but we felt like it's now or never. Happy people are finally going to see it, though.

Where can you read it? Well, please like the Facebook page and we'll have more info on what's cooking in the next few days. Spread the good word if you can.

Here's a minimalist Infinite Wonders piece. Have some more pinups to post this weekend.

Thanks! I know I used to feel like people thought I was being a one-trick pony, so I've tried pushing doing whatever the heck I can the last couple of years.

Here's 2 more Infinite Wonders pinups. Probably won't have any more before the release this Wednesday, I've got some stuff I gotta get done lol.

Just a few more days until the 1st issue is up the interwebs to read, I'd be really really happy if you guys took a second to like the Facebook page so you can see it all as it happens. :yay:

Also... something pretty funny from Timespace. It's 1 of 2 Nagel style pieces I did that are hanging on the wall of the main character's apartment.

Myself as a tree like Groot, before Groot was popular lol.

I've just got plain Photoshop to work with, it's helpful for getting pages to the real straight black and white level.

    Thanks, will do.

Got a new blog post on Infinite Wonders. Really long. Lots of pictures, though! Pictures from the design process and such.

Also, here's a super small sneak peek inside Infinite Wonders #2, page 10. Peanut Butter Paul's tiny cameo! Lots of cameos and jokes in this one! [IMG]

Guess I haven't posted this here yet, either. New print from me called Worn Down, deals with feeling like not being listened to since I'm pretty quiet and people usually don't hear me. It becomes something that starts to puncture after a while in a way that ticks and ticks.

Lol, thanks. That guy was real fun to draw- I even ended up sneaking cameos of him into 2 extra pages in the next issue just because. :oldrazz:
