How?? Its impossible to dislike this game if youre a fan of the stealth action genre. It did everything Chaos Theory did, but much better. The only thing i can remotly dislike about this game, is that im not quite sure im feeling the multiplayer, tho i havent played it for long.
Gamespot was praising it as the best thing the game has.

You're ******ed.

If this guy isn't topdawg, he's exactly as ******ed as that loser.

Which is actually quite an achievement now that I think about it.

And achievement that should be awarded... by fire.

I'm enjoying this a lot. It looks fantastic.

My only big complaint is that the JBA HQ is WAY too dark, and since you don't have your nightvision, its practically impossible to complete your NSA assignments as you can't see where you're going, and I'm not crazy about the 3D map. And the choices they made a big deal of don't seem to show up much so far.

But my favourite levels so far are shanghi (the rappel down the building is amazing...the graphics literally left me speechless) , prison break and cruise level.

I'm really looking forward to the war zone level.

Gamms dude that's what I told you! But after playing through it all. I'm kind of disappointed that it ended the way it did. And the whole undercover aspect wasn't fleshed out enough. I mean, sure you're in their base but you didn't feel in danger. And there are only a few moral choices to make.

I rearry hope in a sequel they expand even more on the undercover stuff. :(

I agree it needs to be fleshed out more...but it's a damn good start. It's really tense in the enemy HQ when you are in an off limits area and have to have your wits about you, and have to do your various NSA tasks. It's nerve racking and it made me feel like a real double agent.

I think it's a great game. It really is. The graphics are some of the best I have ever seen, and for once, a game that uses the Unreal engine doesn't look exactly, or almost exactly, like Gears of War.

As for the ending, not sure which one you mean, but you do know there are 3 right? One might suck but theirs still two more...

Alright maybe so of you can help, I'm a noob at these games. I've been doing alright through trail and error but I can't figure out how to use the lockpick. I rented the game, so I don't have the booklet to help me out.

Rotate the analogue stick in a circle untill the pins in the lock move. for each pin, you have to find the area on the analogue stick where it starts to rumble, and just fiddle with it untill the pin comes loose, and then repeat for all the pins.

They're all basically the same thing and don't offer much closure. There is one that gives you an extra mission though. I didn't get that one.

Sorry :(
Gameplanet didn't have it yet
But I did reserve and pay for Gears of War: LE :O

The war zone in africa is amazing....the idea of putting a war level in a stealth game was truly inspired, and you really feel like you have a choice of going all out guns blazing or stealthy sam style, and it rocks.

Imagine, the new MGS' biggest idea (stealth in a war zone) will be a couple of years old by the time it hits the shelf...ha! Take that, Kojima!

O hell yea, in fact, thats an understatement. I LOVED that level, well i mean i LOVE that level( i havent completed it yet). I just love the fact that youre actually hiding in broad daylight, which makes you think 2 steps ahead before you can take one. The levels really are fantastic, iv replayed that skydiving sequence so many damn times, it just looks so damn good. This game is great.

Yeah it's brilliant. Shanghi...looking down over the city was breath taking.

Okay. I planned on waiting a week or two for this game, but couldn't take it any longer. Just got back from a midnight run to Walmart to get it...and my sister just started watching a movie on my 360, so I have to wait an hour and a half or so before playing it. :(

But I'll be on soon!!

Just knock her out and play for a while.

How do you kill the captain is the ship level without him blowing up the ship? I've tried to sneak up on him but he always turns around right after I get to him.

So who all has this game so far? I really need to update my Gamertag chart

I need broadband and live still :( but come January I hope to have this rectified. But I really want to play this and Marvel UA online and you guys will be bored of them already :(

also....(heavy spoilers follow)...

I kinda liked the style of endings, with the audio over the end credits, and the swat team breaking in. One ending was shocking in that the NY bomb explodes and kills millions, and sam is implicated! I also got the true ending where you take out both bombs with sam on the run...isnt there another one? how do you get it? and is there any way for erica to become sams love interest? Im sure I read it was possible...

And does lambert die, or what? He doesn't seem to, just be hurt....
but in the PSP version of splinter cell, essentials, he does die...and its treated like that in the storyline too.

Speaking of the psp game, it seems, in terms of plot anyway, to be a semi sequel to double agent, with lambert dead, fisher on the run and trying to contact old friends at the nsa, and the new director, williams, seeming VERY dodgy. It seems to imply the next, X BOX 360 EXCLUSIVE (:D) chapter will deal with sam trying to get his life back and exposing williams. Very interesting directions.

God I love this game. Im going to replay it for months.
