Superman Returns SPOILER::Pics. of what happens to Lex Luthor at the films end...I think it sucks

That ending is lame....lets move on!

And Fatboy_Roberts is still a d^ck, just has to attempt to fight with others.

dude chill!

besides this is a thread that discusses what one thinks of the ending, which is what most of us are doing. we move on to what? off topic jabs and insults?

So Superman would just LEAVE Lex on an island. Lets make our hero look like an idiot, thats just great.
well no- Lex got away after he thought he killed Superman. Superman didn't put him on the island

Yes but Superman is obviously alive and well at the end, and can scope the world.

Agreed. It is extremely goofy.

AND I know that Superman isn't supposed to kill....but just indulge me for a second...

Is this a fair statement to make? Lex Luthor is an evil *******! It's true! He even said it himself in the trailer, he wants to KILL BILLIONS of people! He STABS Superman, shoots him with a missle, kiddnaps Lois and that stupid kid, ..hell it looks like he wants to kill everyone!

WHY WOULDN'T HE BE KILLED? WHY would he live? This isn't a 300 part comic book, it's a 2hr. (hopefully!) movie! Bryan Singer should have had the balls to kill off Lex Luthor. Big deal if he dies? He's a prick and yes I know that Superman 'doesn't kill' but there are certain circumstances that call for a guy to do what he's gotta do...and I think there could have been some way written into this movie to allow Lex Luthor to die...and not just get shot or slip on a banana peel or some lame **** like that....

...a villains end/death should be as good as the villain himself. Spacey looks quie evil, menacing, and really cool in a lot of the footage I've seen....so he should have gone out with a bang IMO.
Sorry, dude, no matter what logic you use to justify it.Superman doesn´t kill. That´s the end of it.

I'm glad they didn't go with the same route as the ending in BATMAN with the Joker dying. These heroes DON'T kill. That's the morality thing DC has. Superman doesn't kill. Batman doesn't kill.

Luthor shouldn't die. There is no Superman without Lex Luthor. The people (regular movie-going audience) understand this.

Look at that worthless character Kitty sitting there with her stupid umbrella, god what the hell is that crap.

Don't forget her worthless dog. Kitty Kowalski may be one of the most useless characters ever created aside from Otis and Gus Gorman. :down

Ahh, I forgot about her piece of crap dog. I wonder what was going through " Mr. Character Driven Bryan Singer's " mind when he created Kitty and Luthors goon squad. Im really disappointed with Singer for having characters like these in this film. It's sh^t like this that make people think of the word rehash.

^

yeah, but even a few of the reviews have mentioned her, and not in a bad way. and none of the other reviews have had anything bad about her.

Yea, because she worthless and it would be a waste of time to mention her. Screw Kitty!

I hope Lex isn't comical. I want him to be witty and charming, almost likeable (so him doing evil stuff will seem more shocking) but I don't want Saturday Morning cartoon here.

stupid Dog!!! Gonna ruin the whole movie like that poodle in Hulk!

Yeah the pics and the situation they fit in are great finds but I disagree with killing Lex. Lex should always be a thorn in Superman's side. It's someone that he can't seem to keep beaten. Besides they can bring in a new villain without having to kill Lex. Plus Superman doesn't kill.
While I generally Agree with that sentiment. Superman does in fact kill from time to time. It's only when he has to. Generally, I think that avenue is one that should be explored with Superheroes in movies and comics.

exactly. i haven't seen anything negative about her in the reviews so far, and i was really, really worried about her character. moreso than the child.

maybe after Lex got stranded in the sequel they will probably have him rescued by a villain.

I've read all the posts, but I still don't get what's going on here.

What is currently being complained about?

I would have LOVED to see Superman kill Lex Luthor or have Luthor die off in some way...fall to his death or something! .

hmmmmmmmm superman doesnt kill .

I think...uhhh...4NutzinYoface (great name btw) just wanted to see him off'd, similar to what they did in the first Burton Batman movie. Regardless of what you may think of that film...upon further review. It worked having Joker fall to his death.

Me personally, I like the fact that Luthor lived, and as some have said him getting stranded on his own personal island is a fitting sense of irony.

You can't kill Lex, and certainly not if you're expecting to do a trilogy.

Personally, I don't mind the ending. It's much better than just putting him in prison again. Besides, didn't Superman use a similar solution with Bizarro (or was it Metallo?) in the animated series?

Bizarro got his own planet to "protect." With a powerless Mxyzptlk tagging along.
