The Dark Knight Spoilers and Speculation

Chris Nolan loves his women in refrigerators! Thats the only gripe I have with this film.

Dent dyeing is ok I guess for these films... I can live with these films being more inspired by the bat universe than a true adaptation. Nolan only wants to make three films and dent dying sets up more chaos for Batman to resolve in part three.

Heath Dying in real life is what is going to turn the third film on it's head. It's obvious now that he was going to play a big role in the third film "you complete me" line proves this and what it appears Nolan is going for.

Does it bug anyone else that Nolan told people that the third film would be about Two-Face and Batman and there would be no other villains? Thats setting people up to get pissed when he does die.

and with no joker now... it's either recast the role (like rachel) or try and stitch together a disjointed ending for Nolans series.

Also after Nolan leaves the series it is going to have to take a reboot in tone because Nolans world rules out most of the villains from ever appearing because they are quite crazy.

No David Goyer was the one who said it. It was part of his early drafts for the 2nd and 3rd movie. However, he stated this back in 2005....so things change

Probably an old question but how long does dark knight take place after begins? It just occured to me that i didnt know.

In the trailer, Joker says "A year ago, these cops and lawyers wouldn't dare cross any of you..."

So I say it's safe to assume it's been a year.

Nolan never said Two Face was going to be in the 3rd Film Goyer did but that was 3 years ago. Maybe they have other plans we don't know about. Nolan takes his movie one piece at a time.

This film isn't any different than any other in terms of pre-screening. Why would they show two different cuts? It just makes no sense at all.

Somewhat like in Star Wars "Luke, Obi Wan is your father!" And then when it was released for pre-screenings a lot of the actors and crew didn't know.

Yeah but from what I remember Goyer said the Way Joker does it is diffrent in the movie. Goyer said that it would happen in a court room at the end of the film and Joker would use a Flower full of Acid to scar Harvey to set up for the 3rd movie. So obviously it is diffrent.

The actors and crew didn't know, the movie wasn't different in the pre-screenings than in the actual release. Same with TDK. Most of the actors didn't have full scripts, only of the parts they were in or needed to perform their role. So a lot of the actors in this movie don't know much about it either.

Also, it would be too costly to shoot, edit, score, and completely finish several scenes just to throw off the early reviewers of the film.

Would it? They're aleady at $180 million dollars - this is WB's BIG movie. If they're willing to do something like kill a BIG comic charcter off - they're willing to re-score it and such.

Don't worry everyone. We might see our Rogue Gallery (maybe partially) in the third. The baddies are gonna be spilling out into the streets.

i remember when goyer said that too, and the way everyone here keeps confirming it the joker is responsible. so the end result is the same, but it really doesn't make sense. eckhart has said in many interviews that "this guy loses his fiance, and is scarred by ACID..."

all this joker stuff, and him getting scarred in the warehouse doesn't sound right. plus why have rossi and maroni in the story if they are not responsible? why else go after maroni? maroni didn't kill rachel, it should be joker in that car with two-face not maroni then. doesn't help that rossi is mentioned in almost all of the gotham tonight eps when dent is being talked about.

Thats what I am hoping for.

I would love to see Riddler, maybe Mad Hatter or Penguin, and some others on screen. Characters that haven't been in the movies before.

I like the ventriloquist, though I don't see him being anything more than a second class mob boss type villain; he couldn't really sustain a film on his own.

Black Mask and Bane. A great film can be made with these two.

I could see "Bane" as an mafia answer to Batman, obviously they learn they can't let these "freaks" rule them, thats what they learned from dealing with the Joker but hiring a brutal guy like Bane could be a solution.

i really dont want to see any other batman villain but joker in consecutive films. i dont even know that i would want another joker after heath. batman has toooooo many villains to let waste.

i would of liked to see joker paired up with harley quinn in another sequel but there are also many characters i would like to see nolan-ized.
