The Dark Knight Spoilers and Speculation

That's what I said too.

Agreed.

Would it? They're aleady at $180 million dollars - this is WB's BIG movie. If they're willing to do something like kill a BIG comic charcter off - they're willing to re-score it and such.

Don't worry everyone. We might see our Rogue Gallery (maybe partially) in the third. The baddies are gonna be spilling out into the streets.

JDG

They wouldn't have to do a complete re-edit either, rescore. Just cut a scene out, reloop something. That's all.

I suspect you are right about that one. If the film ends with the situation Batman was in, I expect that the city will see that it needs Batman to deal with all these guys.

Also
I really expect to see Two-Face return next film. Something like Dark Victory, there will be all these other villains to deal with tying into a larger mystery that reveals Two-Face is alive. Batman is cleared and the city accepts him as his protector. Bruce accepts that he can never give up, the quest will never end, Batman is beyond himself, Batman will need to continue...and it should end with him going to the Circus. :-P

Is there a timeline somewhere?
[blackout]The Joker gets captured twice right? Is the 1st time "come on hit meh" or is that the 2nd time? Does that take place before the hospital blowing up or after? Has anyone said how he caught yet, either time?[/blackout]

So, many reviews have mentioned an iconic speech Gordon gives at the end of the film.

I must know what this speech is. :o

Do we know if Joker leaves any victims with grins? In particular, carved ones?

Does anyone knows what happens to the Joker at the end of the movie for sure?

He lives. Is captured by the police thanks to Batman. Likely being sent to Arkham

I could see "Bane" as an mafia answer to Batman, obviously they learn they can't let these "freaks" rule them, thats what they learned from dealing with the Joker but hiring a brutal guy like Bane could be a solution.

While i seriously doubt they would use Bane...if they did..I hope it doesn't go the same direction as B&R. Along with many things in that movie...that depiction of Bane was TERRIBLE. It reduced him to a representing would could be the missing link in the evolutionary tree. The Hulk has a larger vocabulary than B&R's Bane. I would love to see Bane Nolan-ized...but doubt that will happen.

I would like to see the Riddler because i could see him fitting into the Nolan Batman universe from the sense that he would be a villain that would play on people's psyche...and take the psychology of Batman to another level. I have a hard time seeing the Penguin show up...but he could be a mobster with a large beak like nose that his fellow wiseguys call The Penguin. This would be a departure from the comics and people would have endless nosebleeds over that. Although I do like the possibility of the Catwoman if she is loosely based on TLH's Catwoman (someone seeking revenge on the head of the mob)..and if Evangeline Lilly plays her :word:

A fat little man with a beak like nose and a purple suit is all I really need for the penguin. Just like permawhite dont bother me, neither does a lack of flipper hands.

it will make you reconsider the title The Dark knight in a way you probably couldn't have imagined before !!!:cwink::cwink:

And that's probably the most beautiful surprise of the movie I think....we all thought that Batman was this knight but nooooo.....:woot:

edit: I should have read the past answers before posting this.....

I believe this is loosley how it goes.

-bank robbery
-Scarecrow/Chechen/vigilantes scene
-Joker meets with the mob
-Batman in Hong Kong
-hanged vigilante
-party scene
-Batman vs. Joker in the streets/Joker arrested
-Maroni's trial
-Joker escapes/Loeb's funeral
-Joker burns mobs' money
-Joker kidnaps Rachel and Harvey/Rache dies, Harvey is scarred
-Hospital scene
-Barge scene
-Two Face returns/kills Maroni
-Batman/Joker fight in building/Joker is left alive by batman but where the cops can get him
-Two Face threatens Gordon's family/Two Face killed
-Batman goes on the run.

Then add in all the stuff with Bruce/Alfred, Bruce/Fox, Harvey/Gordon, Harvey/Rachel, Harvey/Bruce, Harvey/Gordon/Batman, the mob, Mike Engel and Reese in between all of that.

yes Brian Douglass gets one according to a leaked photo and the virals mentioned the two mob bagmen 'with a smile on their face'.

Two-Face is dead. All the way Dead.

I think that the Joker has a heart to heart with Dent, who has been captured and is being treated for his situation, then proceeds to blow the hospital up. This is based on the leaked twoface/joker pics people have probably seen.

does anyone know what joker does to the guy w/ a pencil?

I wish scarecrow had a little more screentime. The whole parking lot scene sounds awesome but cillian just deserves more. He plays the part so well. Whatever I'll shut up now.

There's a new TDK TV Spot with
a glimpse of the Joker/Batman interrogation scene in it.

Has there been any word of the showing of Dents mental problems?

Also I'm betting that the Jokers makeup rubs off to show his flesh tone, then that rubs off to show more white and we never really know whats going on with the Jokers skin. I know thats been beaten to death but any new news on that?
