The Avengers [SPOILERS/SPECULATION] The Mysterious (Post-Credits?) Scene filmed after Premiere...

yeah guys, its probably just an added scene. I think Thanos is all will be seeing regarding an after credit/after movie scene

IDK. Part of me thinks it's in the movie the other thinks it's an after credit scene for IM3.

I dont know. I am doubting that it is another after credit scene.

I'm just thinking since they actually might have Green Lighted the Ant-Man movies now it's just going to be a reference to Pym.

Has it officially been green-lighted?

Not officially. But Marvel has two movies on it's schedule that it has yet to name. Rumors are that they're a Guardians of the Galaxy/Ant man movie.

PLUS EDGAR WRIGHT JUST RECENTLY TWEETED "BEHIND THE CAMERA FOR THE FIRST TIME IN YEARS"

SEEING AS HE'S THE DIRECTOR FOR THE ANT-MAN MOVIE, I WOULDNT BE SURPRISED IF HE WAS THE ONE SHOOTING THE EXTRA SCENE INTRODUCING PYM. ESPECIALLY SINCE WE KNOW WHEDON DIRECTED THE POST-CREDIT SCENE IN THOR,

Yep it would make sense. Also would tie into Kevin Feige trying to throw us off the Ant Man scent by saying he didn't do it for Marvel.

Wrights scene and the extra scene RDJ hinted at were about two weeks apart.

Mysteryman meant that the scene Wright talked about and the scene hinted at by RDJ would have been filmed two weeks apart (RDJ said they were filming a scene after the premier on April 12, Wright's tweet about being behind the camera was in the beginning of April.)

AH, YES. WELL I CAN ONLY HOPE THAT WRIGHTS WAS IN REFERENCE TO THE FILMING OF THE ACTUAL ANT-MAN MOVIE. AND RDJ'S STATEMENT WAS ALSO ANT-MAN RELATED AND THEY GOT TOGETHER WITH WRIGHT TO SHOOT THE INTRO TO PYM FOR THE AVENGERS POST-CREDIT SCENE.

Yep that would make sense. Maybe Wright filmed something for the Blu and they liked it so much they decided to include a reference to Pym in the actual movie.

True. And I read somewhere that Wright it working on another project (which is not Ant-Man). If Marvel holds to prior precedent, the extra scene would have been directed by Shane Black since Iron Man 3 is the next film in the schedule.

Well all the other precedents were for introducing the next movie/superhero but since they've all been introduced except 1...hmm

Iron man's tag was more general, but other than that, each of them flows:
TIH---teases the end of IM2 (and avengers)
IM2---teases beginning of Thor
Thor--teases end of CA
CA--teases Avengers

Have we ever had a mid-credit and post-credit tag?

If they do two this time, it could be that the end tag is for the next solo movie, the mid-credit tag is for the next "team up" movie.

Yeah, it's crazy, but do is planning out five movies to build up an entire comics movieverse, and getting it all to work.

There are at least three more shots at introducing Ant-Man before the first possible release date for his solo film: IM3, Thor 2 & CA2. Putting a bit with him in The Avengers could happen, but they might leave that until later.

Feige already said that Edgar Wright did not film something for Marvel recently, but we should pay attention to Wright’s tweets in the coming months “and that might change.”

Isn't it just one, the May 16th date.

Well, Feige can say anything, I pretty much think this is damage control right now, it's kind of fitting for Downey to spill the beans :D

I say it's Ant Man related. About Ant Man, I must say I thought, before reading anything about him, that his powers were lame, that the character would pale in comparison to the others, but I've just finished the Ultimates (first volume) and thought it was fantastic and that Hank Pym could be an interesting character to see, as long as he doesn't miniaturize himself :D I like it better when he's a giant, more spectacular.

Feige has been hyping Wright's film pretty strongly in the last few days, so I expect to hear something promising about Ant-Man soon.

However, count me in the camp of peeps who don't think this "mystery scene" is Ant-Man related. I *do* think the scene has some significance (otherwise why reshoot it at all?), but I don't see a surprise cameo by Ant-Man being something that even us fanboys would get all worked up about.

The way I'd see that scenario going down: handful of us ubergeeks wait through 30 minutes of credits....the ushers are already sweeping up for the next showing...lights are already coming up....and we get.....Ant-Man. Vast majority of us ubergeeks: "HUH?!?! WTF??!?!? Who *was* that....? ANT-Man...? Seriously...?!? I waited for THAT....?!?!?!"

Just sayin'.

Maybe it's Hugh Jackman instead, telling RDJ and Hemsworth and Evans to go **** themselves. :)
